So I am hoping to attend the University of Tampa in the fall of 2017 and I was wondering if double majoring and minoring was an okay choice. I wanted to major in criminology and international affairs while minoring in Asian studies and advocacy while also earning my tesol degree. A lot of the classes overlap but is this too much??
You should ask this to your undergraduate advisor. Or post in the specific forum on here.
This is a bad idea. FOUR concentrations? Really? Many schools don’t even have minors. Why? B/c employers and grad schools really don’t care. And you want to list two of them?
I was considering dropping down to just one minor in Asian Studies. The only reason I considered it is because I love Asia and I would love to go back and work there.
What I’m saying is that employers and grad school admissions will look at your real work experience – not the secondary line on your resume where you list your minor.
I was one course away from double majoring in History. But anyone who has seen my CV, my organizations and affiliations and my published articles clearly knows I’m adept at that field
