I want to drop my AP bio class (I prob have a B) and take the highest physics class offered at my hs, physics honors(can get an A easily). This is because I am taking 4 other APs and the workload is building. Will my colleges that I applied early decision/action contact my school about my first quarter grades? and if so, what will my GC say and how will it affect my chances at those schools. If they do not call, I guess they will just not know i dropped out of ap bio and see i have gotten an A in physics honors which will be good.

any advice?

if you've already applied EA/ED to school, they most likely don't want your first quarter grades. But if you do decide to drop a course, the guidance counselor is supposed to notify the univeristy.

are they suppoed to notify them rite now or later if i get accepted. so if i can, i should just stay in ap bio even though i would get A+ in honors physics?

They're required to send notice as soon as they know you're dropping the course, so it's very likely they'd get it before a decision is made EA/ED. If I were you, I'd at least stick it out until you get your EA/ED decision if possible.

Is the only reason you want to switch your grade? If so, a b senior year wont matter at all.
