Dropping a class. Should I tell colleges

I will be dropping a class called Work Experience for my second semester senior year. It is worth 1.5 credits (normal classes are worth 5.0). It is not a “college recognized” class (pretty sure). Should I report to my colleges my change in schedule or should I just wait for them to find out after their decisions. I am afraid that having to email them about dropping a class will lower my chances in these colleges. I am taking 4 AP’s second semester and the class I am dropping isn’t considered rigorous. The schools I have yet to hear from are Stanford, Northwestern, USC, CMU, and Cornell. Is it worth giving them a heads up? What should I do?

Yes, you should report any changes to your previously reported in progress course list to any colleges you are applying to. Exception only if the college specifically states not to for a category of courses that the dropped course falls into.

Talk to your Guidance Counselor and ask them.
