@grtd2010 Thatâs not very nice at all. How could you say that? If you are an applicant, you better hope someone at Duke doesnât figure out who you are. Duke doesnât tolerate comments like that.

@pigmom Duke interviews as many applicants as possible, but often there just arenât enough interviewers. It doesnât mean anything if you are selected or not for an interview. Speaking as someone who has interviewed for Duke for 20 years, I can promise you, interview assignments are random regarding admissibility.
@Aztreas Yes, itâs very possible. Most kids donât get merit scholarships and donât hear anything until the decisions come out.
@toris565 Itâs not weird at all. It happens a lot. Interview assignments have nothing to do with admissibility. They are assigned randomly. In some areas, there just arenât enough interviewers. Iâm not guessing this. I have interviewed for decades and I know this. Plus Iâm married to Coach K. Just kidding on the last part.
I was accepted to Duke with no interview (I applied RD after the interview deadline a few years back) and my lack-of-interview did not impact their decision to accept me.

@bsnbabe1234568 Iâm a little scared of Coach K. He is so serious, and he means business! I wouldnât want him mad at me-- thatâs for sure! But what a wonderful man and coach and role model! I remember when I was a Duke student in the 1980âs, and the crowd at the b-ball game yelled an obscenity in unison. He took us to task. He explained that this was NOT how we would represent our school. Thatâs when the Cameron Crazies invented creative chants like âI beg to differ!â in place of BULL SH$##***!!!TTTT. He really formed a program built on sportsmanship and honor. I have my fingers crossed heâll stay so our youngest son, whoâs starting next fall, will be there at the same time as him.
any speculation on decisions?
My interviewer emailed me and asked me when I was free and stuff, and I responded, but they never emailed me back? Sent another email like a week later apologizing and saying that Iâd still love to be interviewed⊠never responded to me. Any idea if this will negatively affect my chances?
Has anyone received an email about the decision date yet? Last year they had contacted everyone by now
When are decisions going to be released online?
I have no idea and am waiting anxiously
