Haha...I know right. I signed up for AP lang thinking I was good at english, and I can't back out now.

haha yep... o well

radon 34 no rank/3.6

trinity or pratt

I am thinking of going into Aerospace Engineering, but Duke does not offer that. I tell them that I want a good foundation with Mechanical Engineering before I go off into Aerospace, but I also take AP Lit and it is a hard class.

duke's engineering program seems to be very fundamental... just the basic degrees, Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, Computer Science

not tryin to say its easy or anything lol!

Haha, I went to Duke over the summer and talked to the Mechanical Engineering head and he said that Duke had an excellent program, which allows for most students to go to graduate school and excel there, since they are well ahead of most people.

I'm able to get into my application page, but I'm not able to find a page that gives a date for the Dec. 10th announcement. Where do you go to find it? (I trust you all, just to let you know)

This is funny, last three entries. Anyway, does duke look at when you take certain courses? I took Calculus BC in 11th grade and got an A and a 4 on the test. Would that help me in any way?

haha, i posted earlier that i wished school was in session because it would take my mind off of waiting. Today in my Chaucer/Shakespeare class, I found myself writing Duke? in my day planner for every day from the first to the fifteenth, increasing the size of the word for each successive day. The fifteenth has it in bubble letters. I guess there is no escape from the wait...

Man, thats crazy. i keep repeating the number of days left each and every day. The bad part is, if the notification is out at 7 on the 10th, i won't know until later b/c i have a concert to play for. AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!

lol could be worse.. could be the 15th

I have decided that if I do get in, I'm going in to school with a Duke sweatshirt, a Duke hat, and blue and white facepaint (half the face in each color with "Duke" printed across the face). Who's with me?

There is no chemical engineering program.

Haha...after I call every single person I've ever met and more, I'm going to show up at school in all my duke apparal screaming down the halls, and I have people betting that I'll actually get up on a table at lunch and dance. I actually spend my lunch in guidance, but who knows...it may be worth it...

You guys are an echo of what I said a few days ago.

Facepaint, sweatshirt, track pants underneath branded miniskirt.. complete with hat and ear-to-ear grin.

And atop lunch tables? Psshhhh. Make it classroom desks.

Every. Period. Of. The. Day.

I'll need a tranquilizer.

Classroom desks...a definite possibility. Heck, I might even get OSS for disrupting class. Who cares. I'd be going to Duke.

Precisely.

The possibilities are endless...

Haha, I'll just wear my Duke outfit that I wore for the Duke-Texas game last year. Duke shorts, Duke T-Shirt, Duke Sweater, Duke Hat, later changed to a Basketball with Duke on it. And my face painted with two quarters blue, and two white, changing. Then I painted Duke across my face with the color of Duke being the opposite of what color it was painted on. It took a long time, but was worth it.

I just called the Undergraduate Admissions Office and they said that the online notification will be up on Dec. 15th at 6:00 PM, so we will know by mail first. I guess the waiting period is even longer. You can call them if you want to find out yourself (919)-684-3214
