<p>Personally, I think the only annoying thing about the Stanford app is its "DO NOT FOLD TEH PAPER" order... very weird IMHO.</p>

I dreamed that I opened my mailbox and found the wonderful MIT tube, proceeded to cartwheel down the driveway, landed on the grass, and hugged the tube to death in a mess of confetti tears.. <em>siigghhh</em></p>

<p>The first thing I did when I saw mty4000's post was make the connection between "...tube dream..." and "pipe-dream." And then I felt sad, because I knew it to be true*.</p>

<p>I don't know, I hear about a lot of people getting really excited, thinking about getting a tube, and maybe that's not the best way to think about things? I mean, EA admissions, just like any admissions, can probably seem very random, and to expect getting in is to invite disappointment. I am already disappointed that I am going to get deferred, and never get a tube. That way, in CASE I do, I will be ecstatic, and when I don't, my mood will not really change. <em>shrug</em> seems like this is a more beneficial way of thinking of things, no?</p>
<p>Good point. I finished all my other apps within the span of a week so if I get rejected/deferred I can send them in, if I'm accepted then there's no hassle.</p>

<p>And I am in no way expecting a tube. Frankly, based on my school's track record, I should be expecting a rejection but am hoping for a deferral. I always underestimate myself, so if I got a tube I would literally be beyond ecstatic.</p>

Hey, at least you're all EA instead of RD like me =| I missed the deadline because my teachers didn't turn my recs in on time and my interview was scheduled too late.</p>
<p>Oh, Vivi, that really sucks. Consider this, though- most of us will get deferred, and consequently have to go through this awful waiting twice.</p>
