EA Decisions

Mhm, I agree that you don't go and see it for the story. I, personally, love the music (some of it, at least), and as a theatre crew geek, I can REALLY appreciate their set. It's jaw-dropping for anyone who has ever done set construction before...

Edit: And when I saw it, it was good enough to inspire me to read the 1400-page book. ;)

Happy one-year anniversary to 2011 MIT EA acceptees! Here's to the rest of you having enough patience to not tear your hair out waiting for the delayed 2012 EA results! ;)

Krypton, presently, you are my kryptonite: I hate you, and I wish I could avoid you.

i don't get it... is it always delayed this much year after year? like, was the release date for the year before last a week earlier than last year's? because if it's just this year i'm really mad

I suppose I should take this opportunity to note that, as should be expected from an MIT student, my name came from the awesome-sounding element, not the Superman series. :p

Krypton, that does not change the fact that the comparison is there and available. You wrote punny metaphor-time all over yourself. ;-)

Heh. By the way, I think you're the first person to realize that the name I am trying to go by is actually "krypton," not "kryptonsa." Kudos, and good luck!

Would it be totally horrible of me to suggest that the MIT adcoms supertool (to sort of attempt to use MIT terms?) and just read applications 24/7 for the next week?

=P

Do you think that would decrease acceptance rates, though? No sleep --> bad mood --> REJECTION!

Hmm, class of 2010 didn't have online reports, but if they did, I imagine they would've been released right around the 9th, too, not earlier, as they received their tubes in the mail on 12/13 (which was also about when 2011-ers got their tubes).

If this isn't totally indicative of how hard they're already at work, nothing is.. MIT Admissions | Blog Entry: "LOLZ CATS"

;) I know, I know... they're working hard. I'm not serious.

Would YOU want someone reading your app at 3 AM?!? Didn't think so! My guess is that they've been keeping the fires lit in the admin office all weekend trying to get through all the apps. They need a holiday break before all the RD apps start rolling in...

It'd raise my chances! "Aww, I'm bored as [most four letter expletives can be inserted here]. I don't think I can grade another without exploding...oh, hey! This kid's hilarious! He's in. I like him!"

Actually, '10s did have online results.

I am dying from waiting right now. I wish I could just get my deferral right now.

Get your deferral now and then WAIT until March? I'd rather wait 5 days for an acceptance than 1 day for a deferral and then a deferral in March.

I just got back from Model UN... that was a wonderful distraction. Now I have nothing to distract me- except homework. Blehhh.

except hw doesn't make a good distraction.
i am still in the " i can't believe i actually applied to MIT" mode
Just couple years ago, applying to MIT would not even be an option. It was something I couldn't even dream of since my goal would probably be Beijing or Qinghua University or something.
For all EA applicants, remember no matter where you go for college, you'll still do very well.

doing rd college apps is a distraction, but not a very fun one lol
i just submitted my duke app! ^^

YAYY SNOW DAY!!! hehe... ice day actually
