So I submitted my application yesterday for EA, but I wasn’t able to deliver the form stating that Tulane required my transcript and Secondary School Report to my counselor until today. She is not able to send my forms electronically, so she must post them. Will this cause me to be ineligible for EA, considering it’s more than likely that Tulane will not receive my transcript and Secondary School Report until after today?

It says the 15th is a postmark deadline. Make sure they get postmarked today-maybe offer to take them to the post office yourself.

I believe they can fax them as well.

Accepted!!!

has anyone else who applied mid october NOT heard? This is really getting annoying.

Thanks to fallenchemist on the advice to email Tulane about his documents that went from complete to missing documents.

We emailed our Admission Rep and Admissions this morning, and our Admissions Rep emailed us within a couple of hours with a response to our problem. We were so impressed with our Admissions Rep timely response during this busy time. She really made us feel like she cared about my S question and did not treat him like a number.I think this speak volumes about the culture at Tulane and how they are going to treat our children when they are students.

FYI, the problem with missing documents is that my S’s name was different on the act score versus his other documents, so they were filed under different names. Not sure why the names are different, because my S does fill all of his forms the same. It must be how the computer picked up his name. The Admissions Rep has now merged the file and immediately the Gibson site was marked complete.

Now we are anxiously waiting and hoping for a Tulane acceptance! Thanks for your advice!

Treehugga, I did. I’ve been anxiously checking Gibson multiple times a day. I nervous because I think I met the requirements for automatic admission, but I haven’t heard anything. Unfortunately all we can do is wait. Here’s to hoping we both hear good news soon.

2010freshman’s example is important. Every year there are cases where multiple files get created for a single student due to some kind of mistake, be it Tulane’s or otherwise. That is why it is important to communicate with admissions if something seems wrong.

I finally got my application marked complete!!! Hopefully, I’ll see that beautiful “accepted” soon!

I applied Oct 17th and havent found out yet. However my app was only marked complete two weeks ago. Gpa: 3.55 Sat: 2000

I submitted my application oct 28 and my status is still incomplete I’ve called and they said it could take 3 weeks to find my mailed in Rec and transcript…

I applied september and havent heard anything either.

I don’t remember the exact date, but I applied early last month. still waiting!!!

for those who have been accepted, what were your stats? congrats!

I applied October 31 and was accepted yesterday!

Son was accepted per Gibson system on 11/9, acceptance letter arrived by mail today. He was awarded the Presidential scholarship (27k/yr.) with an invitation to the Honors program.

Sent it in… fingers crossed!

twoby2013 - So, no excitement at your house tonight I guess. LOL. Congrats.

fallenchemist;

Thank you. Yes, it was an exciting time watching him open his first envelope. The electronic acceptance notification was great to get, but there is something even better about good old snail mail. Having it in writing, on paper, makes it all the more real.

Just saw the “Congratulations” on my Gibson account today!!! I was soooooo excited! It feels so good. I applied SCEA and sent it in November 2, and already found out! Now its scholarship time! I feel like I’m on the low end as far as stats, do you think I could get any money? I know I’m going to apply for Community Service Scholarship because I have done lots of community service volunteering

BTW Fallenchemist, thank you so much for all of your advice to others, i have been reading all of it, you are so helpful and resourceful.

Congrats hoosier5!! I was given complete status this morning! Waiting patiently for a decision!
