I feel like we should play a game or something… except maybe that would be counterproductive considering I’m trying to wean myself off this board?

my band concert is on the 15th. im hoping that nu comes in tomorrow so that the results won’t tamper with my playing (I have a bunch of flute solos and even a piccolo one!). fingers crossed

@smiles First of all, congrats! Second of all, hahahahahha.

@mt7 Agreed on both!

mt7: we should! like the answer the question the person above asks

i’ll start:
what is your favorite singer/band?

There’s a possibility that I’ll be reading Heart of Darkness this year too. My class was supposed to read it last year, but we got really into Beowulf, so we ended up reading Grendel instead. Since the class of AP kids from last year is the exact same this year, if we finish Song of Solomon by the end of this semester, we’ll read Heart of Darkness at the end of the year. After reading the past few posts about it, I’m not all that thrilled.

@bandie Good luck!

Is it just me or does everyone have something big going on tomorrow when we get the decision? (Hoping it is tomorrow…)

Death Cab for Cutie. Ben Gibbard is a lyrical god. Although I’m also a huge fan of The Uglysuit these days.

Next question: What is your dream job?

you seriously don’t want to read heart of darkness.

oh and @mimi: Thank you!! =]

Ew heart of darkness. my class just read it for english and had to write an in class essay on it. it was terrible.
actually is houldn’t start ranting about how much i hate my english class this year =X

and Yay bandie! It’s nice to see a fellow flute player here :]

@Ross25 Read Siddhartha, it’s good. I am so glad I am done with Physics! I took it last year, and I honestly believe Calculus should be a prerequisite class for it because I am taking Calculus now and I actually understand what we did last year. I had no idea what was going on with Physics half the time when I was actually in it.

My dream job is to be a news anchor a couple times a week and totally OWN Broadway in Chicago!

@mimi: I think we MIGHT be the same person hahahahahaha

@bandie: I know how you feel! I have a figure skating show that night and don’t think I’ll be able to skate properly after either being accepted or rejected, so I’m hoping I’ll have 24 hours to recover!! (Good luck!)

@iloveanimals
We’re reading it in the spring, so I’ll just wait until then. I think I’m going to do the Bronte sisters for the big author essay. According to our English teacher, they all lived in the same house so they can be considered one person. When he said that, I scowled and called him a chauvinistic pig. He laughed like crazy. We’re doing Algebra based Physics so it’s not so bad…the teacher will dock points if we use Calculus on Physics. It’s ridiculous. I missed like 3 days of school, so I had to do some catching up this weekend.

My dream job is joining Doctors Without Borders. I think someone said that too 10 pages back.

@smiles YAY!! hahah especially because my nickname seriously everywhere is “Smiley” hahahahah.

Since you didn’t, I’ll post a question.

What are your top 3-5 movies?

Hey guys, I haven’t been around today and I finally caught up on all of the random pages that’s have been added in my absence. I honestly have to say that most of you will probably de-stress if you’re not living on this board. I was out all day today and the acceptance/rejection was definitely on my mind, but focusing on something else was nice. I mean, this board is good because you know other people are freaking out… but I think some time away might do you all good. As soon as I check CC, my stress levels shoot super high, but I could be in the minority.

Yay time for an effing long research paper and a French Revolution project!

I think we’re reading some of those books for our AP Lit class, now we’re reading Love in the Time of Cholera, which is pretty good, and earlier we read Beloved, by Toni Morrison which sucked. I’m more of a physics person, hence my major. I took an Algebra based course last year (AP B) and am taking the calculus version this year (AP C), and coincidentally I am also working on my physics homework right now.

22 hours to go!
