Well you can call admissions and get your decision if it takes any longer than the 15th.,

hey mario, i don't know if you get a chance to read applications but i know you said sort. did georgetown get a lot of english majors this year? or, rather, do they usually get a lot of english majors in their applicants pool. i feel like it would be under-represented, but i'm not sure.

Actually English is the 3rd most popular major in the college for incoming students I believe (it's one of the top 4 anyway) and this year is in line with that. I occasionally look at applications but have no input of any kind on them.

I got my letter, deferred. Eh, not meant to be.

sugar plum where r u from???

From your posts, I see that you have a lot going for you - I am sure you are going to go somewhere great (possibly Gtown - you never know). Can I ask what state you live in?

The east coast. Please stop freaking out everybody, honestly, what is meant to be is meant to be. It'll all be ooooookay :D

lol well, Maine, Virginia, and Florida are all on the east coast too lol what state?

You'll get your letter when it gets to your state. I don't really feel comfortable saying where I am from.

I don't think it is helpful to worry too much about when the letter arrives, for two reasons

(1) People start freaking out. It's not even a rejection letter yet. You know you'll have the decision soon, and freaking out is not helpful to you psychologically;

(2) People in the same state can get the letter on different days. It's the way the mail works.

Amen Mario!

You don't have to believe me, that's fine. But if they mailed the letters yesterday, isn't it plausible that they would have arrived in certain places already?

Did none of you provide an e-mail address with your application? I got the decision via e-mail this morning (I was admitted to the School of Foreign Service). Good luck to all who applied!

haha You guys stop messing with us!

I'm in the NY area, Long Island to be exact!
I went to Georgetown for MUN & fell in love with the school,
I'm hoping my letter comes tomorrow (preferably an acceptance lol)
anyone in the Tri-State area get a letter??

Woops. I just found out from an earlier post that Georgetown only e-mails decisions to international applicants (I'm from Canada, so I'm very "international" lol). That's just dumb.

I live in the NYC suburbs and got no letter today. I'm thinking it is going to come tomorrow hopefully.

Anyone here applying to SFS?

no letter today... in MD

Ive been deferred (international) but still optimistic, I'm an athlete so the coach thinks I have a really good chance in RD..............By the way if you get deferred, it is the worst feeling in the world for about half an hour, I only felt better after the Georgetown coach called me and said i would be good for RD....Dont feel bad !!!!
