yeah i applied to SFS....its been like my dream for the past 3 years!!!

No letter in Southern New Jersey. Tomorrow, I hope...

dc area.. deferred

Depends on how motivated you mail carrier is. And in the northeast today there are ice storms and widespread power outages.

OMG!!!! I JUST REALIZED !!! WHAT IF THE SORTING MACHINE AT THE P.O. HAS NO POWER????

:-)

Like Mario said, it will all be over soon. Breathe....

And in case I forget, Mario, thanks for your contributions to this thread for the past months. You are a credit to the student body at Georgetown.

Wow, I only found out about it last year, through a relative!! Good luck to you. Do you have any idea about what you want to major in?

(hugs asci09)
so sorry...

Winny- yeah, I applied SFS, too.

hugs asci I'm sorry. :(

i didnt apply to georgetown...

I'm just in panic for BU and this seemed the most similar thread since it is about early decision

haha sorry for the confusion

sorry asci 09... :/

but, hey, winter break in a week!

deferred. gonna go shoot myself now

i cant believe only 10% of deferred are admitted

deferred but accepted by UofGeorgia

International Politics and Culture...also decided on that three years ago too lol

where are all of you from??? i assume DC area and MD....

i thought more than 10% of those deferred were accepted. i thought it was more in the 15%+ range.

correct me if i'm wrong, though.

What's this I keep hearing about emails? I haven't received one.

nope its under 10%....thats why being deferred is, in some cases, worse than being rejected....

can u imagine a whole 4 more months of this kind of anticipation!?

and the emails are for internationals....kind of a biased system and not very environmentally friendly but, what ever....i guess the suspense is part of the fun; that is IF you do get in!

Under 10%? Where did you get that figure? I hear that they just pretend you never applied and start afresh (plus new SATs, etc)

it says on the deferral letter that in past years about 10% were admitted from the deferral list

im still in shock.

The deferral admissions rate is only so low because every Tom, Dick, and Harry who didn't get in EA got deferred even if they belong in clown college instead.
