I received my acceptance packet via FedEx on April 15th. I was surprised at how fast I received a response! The next day I received a phone call from the admissions office letting me know I’d been accepted and confirming I had received my packet.

My Stats:

Age: 26
Gender: Female
High School: Rec’d GED
College: 4.0 GPA at Community College
Tests: No SATS, took GSAE.
Extras: Tons of extracurriculars (Amnesty International, PTK, Gay Straight Alliance, Peace and Justice Initiative, internships, etc), submitted additional essay, photo.

I’m so excited about attending Columbia! I’m still waiting on information regarding housing and financial aid although, I have received notification that I qualified for a $8,500 PTK Scholarship.

Good luck to everyone still waiting for their admission decisions! I know how nerve-racking it can be!

i was reading this thread and saw that you posted here before states that you submitted your app in early march, so you have waited this long? when did your fedex came?

I actually submitted my application by the end of march but as I had problems with the TOEFL (technical problems with the testing center) my scores weren’t released till mid April. It took about seven weeks from the day they had my scores till the letter. I almost gave up any kind of hope but it worked out and I am extremely happy. I hope you guys will get good news as well!!!

I have given up since this week, there is just seems a very little chance, and I have no idea when exactly my app was reviewed, the last time I check they told me it still under review. Tuesday will be exact 8 weeks since I submitted all my materials. Like I mentioned before they had a problem with my name, wether or not there is a space btw my first name, so the documents were not complete until they changed all the names on my app.
I try to think positive, but I don’t think it’s working for me

@ zhaozhao I know exactly how you feel
::sigh:: I haven’t had much appetite or sleep since my interview
It’s been more than three weeks since the interview and I’m stressed from upset stomach and sleepless nights
Let’s keep our fingers crossed for the good news
I mean, where would we be without hope, right?

You had an interview? how was it? well since i don’t really have the perfect GPA like most of the people here, that’s why I am even more worried. Well I still have a little believe in myself, let’s hope for the good news in this coming June,

So a question for those of you who have been accepted for fall (and are planning on attending):

Did you get your UNI yet?
My credit evaluation was sent to both the email address I supplied on my application and to a Columbia email address that I discovered was my own when I looked it up in the online directory. Did this happen to anyone else?

When did you send back your intent to register letter? It took at least a week between my mailing it back before I ‘existed’ in the system. Maybe give 'em a call to ask? Your UNI is your e-mail address without the @columbia.edu (i.e. ‘er2884’). Try logging in with that?

I got accepted in mid-April and moved to Morningside Heights in late May. I’m hoping to take advantage of the free museum entry (IIRC a total of 32 different museums) that comes along with a CU id. If any of you are here in the upper westside and want to grab a coffee and check out some museums or see some shows in the theater district, feel free to PM me. I definitely intend to take advantage of this summer, seeing as how I had a load of 12 units last summer.

I figure I’ll update my UNI situation in case any one has the same problem as me. I called the school, they said everything looked alright to them, so they connected me to CUIT. The IT guy said that the error message I received usually happens when the information (SSN and birthdate) the school entered does not match the information the student enters when activating the UNI account. So I called GS again, told them what IT told me, and sure enough, my SSN was entered incorrectly (it was correct on my application, but I guess something got messed up when they entered it into the system).

1) the CUID is exactly the same number that each of us got at the beginning of the admission process in order to trace our application? (c++++++++)

2) The UNI is/isn’t our CUID?

I called them today and I don’t have a UNI yet. The thing is that I want to send my acceptence to the admission offer for Fall 2010 already. On the page with all the details there is a spot to fill in your CUID. don’t want to get it wrong.
