Early Decision Dilemma

I sorta have a bit of a dilemma revolving NYU ED.

NYU is my first choice.
I have a 1320 and a 3.65 (90%)
All honors
All ap's senior

two varsity sports, clubs,
service the works

My grades are a bit of a problem though a 90% is a bit low especially when my Junior average was an 86.

NYU ED is strange in regard that its ether accepted or rejected and the rejects dont go into the regular pool. So im wondering if ED will give me the edge or I should wait for regular decision when I hopefully have a good senior year report card.

to boot im taking sat II in November and having them sent to NYU (im told they arrive in time and are considered)

ED or not?

which school are u EDing to?

I think the best option for NYU is just to wait for regular decision. For early decision, they don't regard your senior year grades, although they could seriously boost your chances in regular decision. But if you do choose early decision and sadly get rejected, you'll at least have time to choose other schools that you'd like to apply to.

For ED, your first quarter senior grades are taken into consideration.

i meant like...r u applying to the Stern School of Business? or the CAS, or Tisch?

If you're applying to CAS, MAYBE you're okay. Stern is a high, high reach, even if you go for regular decision with improved stats.

Don't ED. The applicant pool will be stronger and you will probably get rejected, being that the two options are acceptance or rejections.

im going for cas but is there any less selective major than can give me an edge.

Assuming im trying to shimmy the system

not art but anything else.

If you pick some obscure major and show absolutely no interest [or past interest] in it, they can see right through it. Admissions officers aren't stupid. Just apply regular with better stats. You'll have a much better chance...
