I want to study film/tv at UT Austin but I cant find any admission stats anywhere for the program so Im really scared about getting in. Im almost certain I can get into UT with my grades but its the major Im worried about because I dont have really any experience in the field.
My family is very low income and theyre not exactly supportive of my career choice, so getting my hands on a camera or finding time to work on anything film related has been near impossible for the last few years. Im really scared that I wont get in because I feel like Im the only kid that hasnt made a short film. I need some advice on building up my ECs so its clear that Im serious about film.

My current ECs are:
Debate Team - secretary
Interact
HOSA - 1st place at regionals last year (not sure how much this matters since its a health club)
UIL Academics - Social Studies and Literary Criticism
100+ volunteer hours (at an animal clinic and school events)
Im also applying for a film workshop for high-schoolers at NYU this summer

I thought about starting a film club but Im not sure if its too late for it to make a difference on my resume since Ill be in it for only a year??

Do yall have any ideas for some entertainment-related things I could do in the next year that could impress RTF admissions? (PS: I live in a small town, so my options are sort of limited for jobs during the school year, but I should be able to travel to Houston during the summer for jobs/internships/volunteer opportunities.)
