ED Acceptances (What to do when I visit)

I got into Penn ED and am going to visit next weekend for the first time since Dec (I visited last year on tours and info sessions)

What did u guise do when u went there? Any suggestions?

You applied ED to a school, i.e. it was your first choice beyond all choices, and you never visited?

^^ive visited before. i visited last spring

go to hemo's.

Just checking, you know they are going to have Penn Preview days next month, which is a day specifically designed for accepted students. During that day there is a lot of useful information given especially regarding housing. It is great if you can go both times, just checking to make sure you knew about Penn Previews.

go out w/ a student on like a thursday or saturday. it's a lot of fun and u get to see to an extent what the party/social scene is like. thats one of the things u dont really get to experience from a typical walking tour with a guide or parent... and it's a very important part of ur college experience

k thanks guise. my parents want to go and explore the city and walk around campus.

YOU GOTTA GO TO HEMO'S.

or at least go to wawa.

where is hemos?

it's right outside the quad on spruce (36 i think?). wawa is on spruce and 38th.

i also really like white dog. it's really overpriced though.

...please stop saying "guise"

quakeroats --> "go out w/ a student on like a thursday or saturday"
how do we arrange that?

Hemo's? ***? Be more productive.

Go visit dorms and check out where you'd want to stay.

Why on earth is it so important that he goes to a food truck? Those sandwiches all taste the same IMO, and he'll be eating plenty of them after he starts school

^so that he can confirm that his choice to attend penn is the right one. hahaha. i mentioned hemo's in my essay. he and i were tight over the summer. i complained to him about how i didn't think i was going to get into penn and stuff..

i'm not saying he should just spend his whole day at hemo's, but he's got to eat something while he's here, right? eating = more energy = more productivity
you can then go do other things...like visiting dorms and frat parties :)

"go out w/ a student on like a thursday or saturday"
How about Friday? I would think it would be just as fun or no?

fridays r cool too but how is that arranged?

^^ idk for some reason the colleges around where ive lived always have the most going on thursday and saturday night... and for some reason students have told me to visit on thursday or staurday, but not friday cuz fridays r slower because of sports and other stuff or something.

fridays probably fine tho, i dont see y not

edit: @penngrl: meet someone or go w/ a friend if u have one who goes there. i ended up meeting some people on campus and it just kind of worked out that they let me hang out with them all night, which was pretty cool.

I'd ask a friend
