ED class of 2022 discussion

Wow I got in! Does anyone know what grades you have to maintain in high school for WashU?

@FeetRPeepl2 I have no idea. I assumed just don’t get a C but i’m unsure.

One C might be OK. I did see some threads from last year where due to unforeseen circumstances/bad senioritis some kids ended up with relatively low 2nd semester GPAs but they weren’t rescinded.

i got in!!!

Thank you Sam Fox School of Art & Design for accepting my daughter!

I’ve been lurking on this thread for an insane number of weeks, registered today because, like a lot of others, I GOT IN!! To everyone else who was accepted, I’m so excited to meet you all on campus next year. I hope we can talk over the summer so there’ll be some familiar faces when we get there! :^) And to those deferred, I’m sending you all my well wishes that I’ll see you on campus next year, too!!

We are in! So happy and relieved!!

Is anyone else confused by the financial aid? For me, it says, “At this time, our records indicate that you have no award available to view.” Does that mean I get no financial aid?? :frowning:

Same

My daughter is in!

deferred… any advice on what i should do about it?

I got in! Does anyone know how to get in the Facebook and group me groups?

We would love that information too!

Congratulations to all of you guys who got accepted! I am an international student from China. I checked my portal just now and found out that I was deferred. I don’t know how many percentages of applicants get deferred each year or whether they have the same chance for admission as the RD applicants. Is deferral a polite rejection?

Hi Everyone, I had to be at a funeral home today (lost my aunt, funeral tomorrow ). So excited for those who got in. Very sorry for those denied. I know it hurts. My D missed nmsf by 1 point on her selection index score this fall, and that was a very tough one because of lost scholarship opportunities.

I want to say that a deferral is not a waitlist offer. They could have denied you, but they didnt! They will review you again in a new pool of applicants. 2 years ago, my S was deferred from Northeastern (EA) and the University of Michigan. He got into both and for Michigan it was about a month later. When Northeastern accepted him in the spring, I could not believe how amazing the financial aid package was with merit awards, etc. This is not a denial. It’s a different process now. Just take some time to regroup.

A hidden bonus with a deferral is now everything is back on the table! Any other offers, scholarships, etc. can all be considered! Yay!

Hold your heads high, and do this! Deferred or denied, you are still amazing students!

I am so excited to tell you that my son got in!

My daughter is in!! Congratulations to all other acceptances!! Best of luck to those deferred or rejected. I’m sure some of you will be joining her this fall and others will end up at other amazing institutions!

Hey everyone! I’m accepted to WashU this morning! Does anyone know the official FB or GroupMe group for WashU class of 2022?

How do we know the deal with financial aid if we’re accepted?

Congrats to everyone and @Winky1 I’m sorry for your loss. You guys are all amazing and capable whether you got in or not.
