ED Decision will be made in 2 weeks

Just called up. The dude said that decisions will be made in 2 weeks or more. I was like wtf? So its not gonna be 10th! Most probably 15th or the same week. So calm urselves for another 14 days or so!

Ugh! Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I don't feel better, so

good old censor...

WhAt?? no way...this means that...
a) they have even LESS staff than before

or worse...

b) sharp increase in # of applicants?!

this is miserable news...

what has history shown about what they do to the bearer of bad news? (jk arsalan )

Harvard's is also backed up to the 14th.

No way...

NOOOOOOO!!!!

Did you ask if that was when the decisions will be mailed? Or what? How did he phrase it?

WHAT!!?? I have an e-mail from them that specifically says that they'll be sent BY December 10!!!!!!!! I don't get it!

Thats unimpossible...

I think the guy was just being vague... it's prolly coming on dec10 as angelnikki's email said. I'd rather go with the more specific proof.

boooo this sucks

I just called them right now and the guy told me "somewhere next week"

So it could be as late as sunday or as normal as wednesday.

There, everybody calm down or call them. 212-854-2522

Did he seriously say "somewhere next week"?

do a lotta acceptees come from md?

"Did he seriously say "somewhere next week"?

Hey, I mean, if you are worried (like I was) about the credibility of someone else (no offense arsalan) telling you important things like this, you should really call them up.

I can't even imagine who else would call them at this time of the month.. =)

This is ridiculous...I just called as well and I asked specifically if they would be available by Dec. 10. He asked where i got that date and I told him it was e-mailed to me. Then he told me that they COULD come out Dec. 10 but Columbia isn't commiting itself to a date. I asked when I should call back for more information and he said next week...

Why are we all getting different information??

I am talking about his use of the word 'somewhere' instead of 'sometime,' because a Columbia admissions rep saying "'somewhere' next week" is hilarious, IMO.

cuz no one knows for sure so they make something up..they set like an approximate date but no one really knows how long itll take

The people who answer the phones aren't Columbia representatives as far as I know...they're just data entry-type employees who don't make decisions.

What I don't get is why Delfire and I could call at roughly the same time on the same day and get two totally different answers!

r the ppl at the fones the ppl who read our apps?

Lets hope not.
