Does Duke send out likely letters for ED applicants? If so, when do you think they will be coming out?

I don’t think so. Or atleast I have not heard of any in my experience. I didnt get one and neither did my sister, yet we both are at Duke now.

No, they don’t. Schools (including Duke) send likely letters in the Spring to “market” to their cream-of-the-crop applicants, trying to convince them to come to their school. With ED applicants, they are already locked in, so no reason to do any “convincing”/

Actually they send out likely letters to a whole bunch of recruited, ED applicants. I know of a couple frosh swimmers at Duke right now who received them. They rarely send out them for normal ED applicants though.

They are only for recruits who know they got in before they applied, mainly basketball and football players… My sister works for someone in the admissions office and thats all I’ve heard

The only people who might get them are athletes. I talked to a friend who’s an admissions officer here and they said they do not send out ED likely letters to anyone (excluding athletes), they just don’t have the time to turn around all those applicants.
