I'm sorry! We all are in the same boat here.

haha no worries. I'm just going slightly insane, that's all.

Again, I think that's all of us right now. As much as I love Barnard, I hate that they are making us have mental breakdowns before they give us our results.

Based on last years' ED thread, it seems that a majority of the decision letters (acceptance, rejection, defer) all came two days after they were mailed. Which is good. One lucky person in NYC got it the day after they were mailed, and some people ended up waiting till after the weekend. God, I hope that's not me.

Nice job doing research. It would be amazing getting it on thursday. I hope that happens. I hate that some people get punished for not being close to New York City. It's not a fair way of doing it.

Yeah I'm kindof wishing I didn't do this research now... looking at last year's RD acceptance thread makes me think I really do have no shot.

Awww.. why'd I have to be so carefree freshman year?

I feel the same way. I am waiting for my rejection letter to arrive. But you never know and the decision has been already made.

I wish they would just put it online. It'd be soo much easier, ugh.
I'm actually feeling kind of good about it all today.

When you are a student next year, you should suggest it to them.

Boy, this is the most active I've seen the boards yet xD

People have been asking me if I knew if I got in or not yet, because they think our decisions came out the same time as Columbia! :[

And the sad thing is NO ONE from my school got into Columbia ED, and they're all incredibly smart, talented, and active extra curricularly.. It's pretty discouraging.

Or maybe we all should since we're all getting in and such. ;)

Optimism! We need positive thinking at this point.

Snivellus, people thought the same for me. FIVE people from my school got into Columbia yesterday in a class of <180. A few amazing people got deferred, though. Expectations are so high; its very stressful.

Wow, the schools you guys go to must be amazing and everyone there must be pretty smart. At my school, most of the kids apply to community schools or public state schools. I'm the only one who's actually applying to Barnard.

Anyway, like kryptonite said: OPTIMISM people!

I've been reading this thread for the past three days, but i never conquered my lazyness to create a username so i could participate in discussion until now.

im totally freaking out too. barnard IS MY NUMBER ONE SCHOOL!! I'm really not quite sure what i'll do if i dont get in. I'm not quite sure what I'll do if the mail doesnt come in time and I dont find out until monday. :/

sammee! have you applied to other colleges yet? I'm such a lazy bum.. that I honestly haven't except for some safeties ! D: i don't know what I'm going to do if I don't get into Barnard...

...no. and im actually really embarassed and nervous about it. none of my other deadlines have passed yet, but i wish i had already gotten them done.

if i dont get into barnard, im applying early decision round 2 to swarthmore, but somehow i dont think that will be any easier to get into

I dread the pile of 10 applications I need to fill out if I don't get into Barnard.

Same w/ me!! It's pretty awful. And I've got a HUGE pile here, complete with essays to still write. Not cool.

[sigh] how I LOVE Barnard! God bless us all. :-)
