ED2 Notifications - Class of 2017

Congrats!!! ^^^^^

If you don’t mind me asking, where are you (state)?

Whoops, forgot to add that to my original post haha. I’m from NY

Thanks! Congrats again.

BTW - nothing in the mail today in Texas.

Accepted in Maryland. It’s a great feeling to be accepted after getting deferred from an easier school to get into.

Congrats to everyone accepted! And sorry to those who weren’t :(. Can’t wait to meet my future classmates at the accepted students day

omg I am so nervous now. Still haven’t gotten anything yet in Cali.

@collegeconscious that is the standard, at least for the international students in the ED1 group.

Is there a class of 2017 Facebook group set up? I can’t seem to find one.

@Khalilzhad there is a Facebook page, but it’s a “closed group” that Swat Staff adds people to individually. For ED1 at least there was an email sent out a few days after the letters that included a link and instructions to be added to the group.

@mewbubu hang in there! My letter came a few days after everybody else’s and I stressed myself out about it for no good reason. Later I heard they send them out in waves that don’t have anything to do with decision.

have decisions on acceptance been already made few days ago? I got an email from admissions asking for ed 2 agreement form yesterday. I am an international student btw

Dora13,
I don’t know where you heard that letters are sent out in waves, but I don’t think that’s correct info. They are all sent out at once, and of course it would take longer to receive a letter in California than it would to receive one in Delaware. :)

Just an update- nothing in our Texas mailbox today. Did anyone get some news today (hopefully good?) Fingers crossed for you!

Whitebeard decisions have been made. For Internationals, if you are accepted you should get a Fed Ex letter. But there is also an email, that S received in the evening of the day he received the Fed Ex. Was there, by any chance an attachment with the email talking about ED2 agreement?

My S got accepted - I still can’t believe it!! One letter was sent to his home address (arrived on Tuesday) and one to his boarding school address (arrived on Wednesday). The one that came first to his home address was just a simple one page letter so we thought it was a rejection. When we finally had the nerve to open it, the word “Congraluations” jumped out from the letter.

We knew he had good chances because he was an athelete and good standardized test scores but because of his grades, we just didn’t know and prayed that the school will look at his application favorably. And favorably they did! And prayers were answered!

I have learned so much from this website and all the threads and discussions and I can’t thank everyone enough over the past 5 years (beginning before when our S applied for Boarding School) and it would appear that time has come to finally move on.

I am happy to share information with you all before I turn out the lights so let me know if any of you have any questions.

PSDad

I got in!!! Literally screamed the loudest I have ever screamed when I saw the word “congratulations”. I’m in California btw. I may look calm but it’s just because I don’t know how to react to my happiness. Good luck to all the candidates!

Hooray PSchool and Mew!! That is fantastic news and your excitement comes through in your messages – makes my night to hear you both so happy! I believe loud screaming (and maybe the Snoopy dance) are great ways to react to such terrific news! :-)

Congratulations mewbubu and Pschooldad!!! You guys must be super excited! I am an
international student who lives in the west coast of Canada and still waiting for my letter to come… I am really nervous right now :S @mewbubu Did you get your acceptance letter today? Was it sent through Fed Ex? Has any international student gotten letter or am I the only one who has not received it… because I saw swarthmore thread and some internationals got their letters before the notification date…!! All the best to people who are waiting for their decisions!

By the way, @Pschooldad Where do you live? It seems your S got acceptance letter pretty early.

I’m an international student. Received nothing yet.

justchamp, do you live in North or South America or other places?
