EI for Cal States

Hi :slight_smile: What are the average EI’s for the cal states for this year? Specifically the ones in LA and Orange County please. I want to estimate my chances for admission.

Thank you :slight_smile:

Only SJSU publishes their EI thresholds by major each year. For the rest of the CSU’s, check each schools website for minimum’s needed but most do not actually state specific EI’s. Since the CSU’s admit by major, it will be different for each major and dependent on the strength of each in-coming Freshman class. Impacted campuses/majors will be higher and locals get priority so their EI’s may be lower.

Rule of thumb::
SDSU: 4100+ Nursing: 4500+
CSULB: 3900-4000
CSUF: 3800+. Nursing:4500+
CPP: 3800+ Impacted majors even higher

Non-impacted campuses like CSU Dominguez may accept at the minimum of 2900 SAT or 864 ACT

it varies by major and whether you are local but, for most programs as a non local but in state applicant.
SDSU about 4100
CSULB around 3900
CSUN and Fullerton are around 3800

Here is a handy chart showing mean GPA, test scores, impaction and EI information by each CSU campus:
