Hey,

I doubt this will turn into a problem, but I just wanted to see if anyone has been in this situiation.

My MOC, a 16 year incumbent, just lost in the recent elections. Would this affect his nominations for this year at all?

Thanks.

Rooster,

I don't think so. New terms don't start until January and most nominations are announced (from what I understand) by the end of December.

No, our senator's aid addressed this yesterday. They will see it thru this year and hand over files of unsuccessful candidates to the incoming official.

The "outgoing" MOC decides on nominees for this year. Many years ago, my parents campaigned against the guy who gave me a nom. He lost the election. I still got my nom.

Whoever is there now makes the decision. Remember that the new folks don't officially take over until late January. By then, the decisions have been made. They get their shot next year.

much appreciated everyone :-)
