emergency about math 1a, 16a and med schools :|

ok... here's my situation... I'm premed/prepharmacy freshman. I'm currently taking math 1a. I got a C on the first midterm... Should i change it to Pass/No Pass and then start from 16a in the spring and then do 16b in the summer so i don't fall behind? It says I won't receive any credit for 16a if i take math 1a, so does it mean whatever grade i get in 16a, it won't factor into my gpa? also. are med schools ok with that?

drop deadline this friday.. ><

hm nvm. w.e ill just stick with 1a.

The drop deadline was a long time ago.
I think this Friday's deadline is for pass/not pass.

take 16b next semester. Try to pull up your grade to at least a B.

888888 is 1A really hard? becuase i am deciding between 1A and 16A now and never had calc before-but 1A has the better professor. ideas?

If you don't need to take 1A, take 16A. From what I've heard and experienced, 1A is much more challenging because you deal with proofs.

88888888, just take 16B next semester and pull up your 1A grade to a B at least.

If you are premed, you are probably going to end up taking a stats class. Some places will let you use your stats course as one of your two math courses or so I have heard (which will overshadow your 1A grade).

^
stats class?
hmm. interesting. i haven't heard that before.
1a is hard well imo... if u have like no calc experience.. -.-
I'm think im gonna go to math dept/career center or something tomorrow and ask if like if i make 1a p/np and take 16a +16b still count as 2 semesters of calculus, even though i won't get a grade for 16a..

i failed every single quiz.. so far.. in agol.

Not sure about pharm, but med school apps take every single grade, even on courses you have repeated and whilst stats is advisable, it does not replace another class- there is the BCMP (bio-chem-math-phys) GPA and the all other GPA

how do med schools look at p/np classes? are they counted? like if i take p/np math 1a and take a grade for 16a.

you enter the class as P-NP or as grade, so PNP does not affect the GPA or SGPA
