Emory EdII!!

WOAH to Emory lover.. omg I applied to the same schools as you and I live in SoCal as well. Such a coincidence. hahahah.
I applied to UCLA, UCSB, UCI, UC Davis, UCSD, USC, LMU, and University of Texas-Austin. And of course I applied to Emory.
This is so weird. !!!

It sucks I got great gpa 3.86 area unweighted and above 4 weighted. But 1900 sat kills me. I got lots of ecs and awards and leaderships and two varsity sports for 7 years. But I got legacy n alumni relations.

yeah it doesnt seem like the edii pool is anywhere near as large as the edi pool. hopefully that helps us.

Also applying EDII. 3.85 UW GPA, 1320/1600 SAT Great recs and very creative essay.

My why emory was a bit long-winded, but it should be fine. I'm so nervous about getting in. I live 25 minutes away from it and have been visiting for a while now.

Hopefully we all get in! Feb. 1st, here we come.

i thought it will be feb. 15th?

it is feb 15th

Aw good luck EDIIers!

yeah in the past it has always been feb 1, theyre making us wait ;longer this year! ugh

im visiting tomorrow!!

i still haven't gotten my OPUS log-in stuff... WHERE IS IT?!?
getting nervous....!

I got all my stuff in but I didn't get OPUS yet either

hey guys,
i was at emory a couple days ago and i spoke to one of the assistant deans of admission. she said that admissions is aiming to have all EDII decisions available through OPUS on feb 1st.

FEB 1ST!!!

she said everyone will know at the absolute latest by the 15th. also, i spoke to a coach at emory and he said EDI acceptance rate was the lowest ever in the school's history (15%). thats pretty scary.

only 14 days until we know!!! im so so excited but so so nervous!!!

oh and btw afitscher and whoever else...

a letter comes in the mail giving you your opus account info but im sure admissions is really busy atm since the deadline was so recent.

if your stuff on opus says "initiated" instead of "completed," it just means that the material hasnt been processed and filed into the data base yet. it doesnt mean they havent received your info or paperwork.

Oh, nice. I'm glad to know that it's still the 1st. Latest 15th.

Yeah, I heard that EDI acceptance was the lowest ever. Eh.

Yeah, there is a letter that comes in that gives you a link to go to in order to get your log-in and password for OPUS.

ok so now the admissions lady said theyre behind and it will prob be back to the 15. UGH

You need to understand that the admissions ladies at Emory have no idea what's going on behind the doors (if you know what I mean)......if you look back on these boards in previous years, these women have given alot of misinformation to unsuspecting students....fwiw....

Both my SATs and GPA are rather low compared to everyone elses. However I live in Costa Rica and have various extracurriculars and speak three languages. I was just wondering if anyone could tell me what my chances are for getting into emory on EDII?
thank you,
maite

oops forgot to list the crucial numbers;
SAT:1660
GPA:3.0

um, isn't it time for the countdown 'till notification?

I'm confused... when are you guys supposed to find out ...Feb. 1 or Feb. 15?
