February 15.

They said they will start posting the first

really? sweet. the admissions office hasn't notified me.

Hey! I applied ED II also, and haven't heard anything... I'm so nervous! I really want to know!

I guess it's the 15th. Unless anyone has heard differently?
OPUS doesn't say anything new.

Three envelopes came in the mail I was so scared just said they got my stuff three times lol

does emory defer early decision students to regular pool?

i heard rumor saying emory either accepts you or rejects you in early decision plan?~!

yeah, they either accept or reject, but rarely they will defer you or put you on the wait-list. it's definitely hard to get off though...

but the reason they accept or reject is because they don't want to string students along until april just to say in the end, "no sorry, we don't want you STILL"... so i guess they are being considerate in a way....

FEB 15TH- either tears of joy or depression for me...

ED I= deferred, rejected, or accepted
ED II= wait listed, rejected, or accepted

*According to common app, there are 1500 waiting list spots open and 800 are offered spots, yet only 113 of those enroll.

I'm right there with ya! :]

Just FYI ... there is no specific number of students who are wait listed and/or offered admission after wait listed.

In recent years, the number of students who are wait listed and subsequently offered admission has ranged from a handful to hundreds. It varies year by year, and there is clearly no pattern.

good luck everyone! I'm so nervous.... but only a few more days!!

Hey all

I am an ED2 applicant...I've spent a lot of time looking at Emory stuff on here, just never actually posted anything.

Anyway, I am getting tremendously nervous and anxious, as I am certain most of you are as well.

We'll know on the 15th...does that mean the decision letter will show up on OPUS? Or are there other ways that we should expect to be notified?

Take care all...thank you...& GOOD LUCK!!!

I have a question for all those who applied ED2,
has all your stuff in your to do list in the OPUS account been entered into the system?

I have all my admissions stuff in except the contract and am missing two things in the financial aid section. which is slightly weird considering the fact that I have sent in all the required stuff.
but i do know it takes a long time to enter the things into the system.

(emory takes a friggin long time to enter the stuff in..longer than other colleges)

Hi hlee,

Did you get a letter from Emory in the mail confirming that they received/processed "you Early Decision application?" If not I would call to make sure that they even have you down as ED since you didn't yet complete an ED agreement form.

Personally, I have everything in with the exception of 2008 tax returns. I checked with admissions and they told me that not having in your financial stuff should not affect when or whether or not you receive a decision. However, did you at least complete the CSS profile if you needed to?

Maybe I am rambling....but the best & smartest thing for you to do would be call admissions and to double check everything.

Wishing the best for you.

~R2SS

thanks for the speedy reply (:

but yes, I received the letter and everything. all of my admissions stuff are in except the early decision contract which is weird because I sent that in with some other stuff that have already been accepted?

ahh im so nervouss!

We find out at 8 A.M. tomorrow. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

uhh doesn't it come up on sunday?

Nope. Check your email and the admissions page.

their website says it comes out on the fifteenth which is sunday
