<p>If there is nothing in my OPUS, does that mean that I did not make it? How do those of you that didn’t make the cut know that you didn’t make it?</p>
<p>Some semifinalists will get awarded some scholarships later on but finalists will have the opportunity to win the largest full tuition ones. We’ll find out later in february anyway. Fingers crossed. :)</p>
<p>smw2012 - Did you apply to Emory Scholars or Goizueta? I think Goizueta isn’t coming out for a few more days. If you don’t have anything in your OPUS for Emory Scholars maybe you should email the admissions people and check.</p>

<p>kinda disappointed no emory scholars… 2300 SAT 4.0 Unweighted 5s on 4 aps 4 on 1 ap, loads of extra curriculars and leadership positions, medical research, shadowing doctor, lots of other stuff, got interview for Northwestern 7 yr med program, but not for this… doesnt make much sense</p>

33 ACT (36 Math, 34 Science)
800 SAT Math Level II, 740 Physics
Lots of Leadership Extracurriculars

<p>Emory is smart to run this big Emory Scholars program because it most likely attracts more strong candidates to the school than would otherwise consider it, but they certainly lose some enthusiasm from the majority of scholarship applicants who don’t make it to the semifinal round.</p>

<p>Oxford scholars come out Tuesday. I emailed an admissions counselor yesterday and that’s what she told me :)</p>
<p>I applied for Oxford Scholars, but I’m having trouble finding a description of what it is. It it the same thing as Emory Scholars, a scholarship to their school?
And what do we find out on Tuesday? If we are semifinalists or Finalists?</p>
<p>I believe you will be told if you have received an invitation to their schOlarahip weekend in February. Also I think they give out 2 year and 4 year scholarships of varying amounts. Check the Oxford Emory Admissions website.</p>

<p>It was November 15th. No essay nor form to complete. All you had to do was nominate yourself on the CommonApp.</p>
