@rol453 you are waitlisted to Emory, but rejected from Oxford.
@rol453 You are offered a place on their wait list. You did not get accepted to Emory.
I’m sorry.
I was also waitlisted from Haverford, they clearly told me that it was because I asked for financial aid and they could not offer me the right package. Hoping I can see something with Northwestern, but as an international student and asking for financial aid its going to be kinda hard
Getting off the waitlist seems impossible, but I will still write my LOCI and move on. I just need one yes and I will be able to fulfill my dreams, fingers crossed.
Accepted to Emory and Oxford!
1570 SAT, 4.0 UW, 4.6 W, NMF, from MA and applied for FA
Will financial aid information be automatically posted on OPUS or do we need to do something first?
@stressed2019 congrats! I think you wait a few days for the info to be posted.
@stressed2019 For ED it was posted by noon in OPUS the following day.
Thank you!
DS was waitlisted at Oxford.
36 ACT
1530 SAT
4.0 UW / valedictorian
I think the college admission decision process is very subjective. My son was accepted to Northeastern and flat out denied to Emory. I also believe if it’s meant to be it will happen.
DS was accepted to Oxford and waitlisted to Emory. We did not visit so I am supper surprised and happy for him.
We didn’t apply for Oxford but Emory and was wait-listed there… it seems that lot of people want to go to Oxford… is it a good college? my son is planning to study communication…
to those of you who got into Goizueta, does your major say undeclared letters and science?
Accepted to Oxford, Waitlisted at Emory
35 ACT, 4.0 UW, 4.45 W, 6/750, 800s on Math II and US History
Accepted to UVA (oos) as an Echols Scholar, UCSB honors program, UC Davis, UConn honors program w/merit scholarship
Waitlisted at WashU
Rejected from UChicago and deferred from Penn ED
feeling a little nervous about what this means for the rest of my decisions, but congratulations to everyone who got in! You guys deserve it!
@nonomom Education-wise, I’d say it is excellent. The teachers care about teaching and I feel like I grew as a person there. But I wouldn’t say that it is for everyone. For me, I was torn between going to a liberal arts school or a research university and going to Oxford offered the best of both worlds. If you want to be on a bigger campus from the start and learn better from studying on your own and not going to class, Emory College would be a better fit.
@Sneedles Emory is practically Ivy status, considered on-par with Cal, Johns Hopkins, Tufts, etc. Tulane yes, but I doubt they yield reject…
Son rejected
Applied with Questbridge app, 3.95 UW, lots of EC’s, only 26 on ACT
@ilackoriginality you can’t be admitted to Goizueta until spring of your sophomore year or fall of your junior year, depending on number of credits you have. As freshmen, you are either admitted to Emory College or Oxford College.
@ljberkow so does that mean i’ll have to apply again? or if i’m eligible/have enough credits ill be admitted automatically
@ilackoriginality yeah–you have to apply again (from Emory College or Oxford College). But the acceptance rate to Goizueta is like 80%.
