I understand that as an engineer, your going to be pretty busy studying for most of the week and your number one priority is getting good grades. But in all honesty, are you still able to party with most of the other students? And if so, which dorms and or fraternities have the best balance of “work hard and play hard?” Thanks!
Honestly freshman year engineering isnt that different from most other STEM majors, and a lot of freshman classes aren’t incredibly intensive. VT has tons of engineers and very high rankings for student satisfaction, if every engineer was sitting in the library 24/7 then this would not be the case. As for balance, this is mostly up to you and not dictated by any particular thing. Don’t stress about it.
