i am applying to exeter, andover, milton, concord acadamey as a junior. I was wondering what it will be like socially and academical to enter one of these schools as a junior. I am currently in public high school.

I was in the same situation you are in last year. I was kind of really nervous before I came here, but it's actually great. These kids are ACTUALLY really welcoming. They're also not what I expected (which is really studious, pretentious, etc.) Of course there will be the few who won't care to acknowledge you, but the majority are excited that you're new, so they take their time to get to know you, which is great because you can then find where you fit in the best in the whole class where everyone is already acquainted with each other.

hey im going to be applying as a junior to exeter and andover this year too!

msu, where do u currently go?

Msu goes to Milton.

My son and daughter both entered their schools as juniors and it was fine in all respects.

My daughter entered Hotchkiss as an upper mid and it has been great. I'm not sure if it is just the school or that is how it is at all/most of the top preps, but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend applying and attending as a junior.
