<p>I got an email from stanford telling me about the EPGY camp 2008 at stanford. Can someone give me an insight on how useful it is for college admissions and how difficult it is to be accepted.
I'm a pretty competitive person, but my standarized tests tend to bring me down. I haven't taken the SAT yet and I hope I can qualify for the AIME this year. And I'm not a national merit qualifier :'(</p>

it's not useful for college admissions. don't apply there if you only want to have it on your college application. it's not selective at all, sorry to disappoint you, but basically anyone they sent an email to (and those they didn't) could get in. unless you want to go for the camp itself, and the academics, don't. anything that you have to pay so much money for is not prestigious and only out to get your $</p>
