Hello, I applied as a Special Education major in late October. I am from out of state but in Midwest, and I have not received a decision yet? I see a couple posts talking about different answers but have not really gotten a definite one. When should I be expecting a response?
@ForestGreen UMN sends out rolling admissions and sends out the strongest applications acceptances early on. However, sometimes if the application is taking longer it is because they are trying to get you into your first college choice. It’s only been a few months so I wouldn’t stress out too much. Still very early in the admissions process! Goodluck!
My daughter was admitted to College of Liberal Arts on Thanksgiving morning via email. (We are from Minnesota.) She has some friends who heard a couple weeks earlier. We also know others who are still waiting to hear.
Haven’t heard of any decisions coming down for CEHD yet. Most of them seem to be for CSE, CBS, and CLA.
MidwestMomTo2, are you willing to share your daugher’s ACT score?
Cheers
Mind providing your daughters scores and gpa?
Cheers
@Collegewait @ForestGreen She submitted only her SAT: 1400. I think that concords to a 30 or 31 ACT.
Oh, and GPA 3.6 UW, maybe 4.0 weighted? … she goes to a rigorous public charter that would known at UMN (we’re local). Her ECs are quite strong — although I know that’s not supposed to matter for them.
Hang in there! I applied october 27th and just got accepted December 29th. I did get accepted into my 2nd major, so if you’re still waiting they’re more than likely just trying to accept you into your second major.
