maybe ask in the nyu admissions forum for gallatin.

Hannah is right.

NYU Admissions Bulletin Board - Powered by eve community

It might not be to late to amend your app, but ask first thing monday morning.

I'd go ahead and ask now, sometimes they update over the weekend.

wait, THERE IS?!
I definitely didn't hear about that either....

yes!!!! its on the "special admissions instructions" on NYU's embark application
"While not required for admission, a written statement discussing how Gallatin's unique educational approach will help you reach your academic and professional goals is welcomed."

i used common app; did anyone else use common app here and did they not see this either? i don't think those who used common app even had this option but correct me if i'm wrong... i believe there was a short answer question in the supplement that was similar though

I hope you guys can still make it! I know that for Tisch Film, if you're missing any part of your portfolio you're definitely screwed since it's 50% of your admissions decision, but that might be different for Gallatin.

"If you wish to further expand on how
the study of your particular artistic interest will be related to your inter -
disciplinary studies at Gallatin, please do so in a separate written statement
submitted with your application."

The way its worded on Embark implies that you should only do it if you want to pursue some type of artsy major

yeah I used the common app and that said NOTHING about it....
I'm hoping this won't affect our chances too badly? because I mean, if everyone who applied to gallatin via the common app didn't know about it, it seems like it would be unfair for them to hold it against all of us if we didn't write it....

Ahhh I wish I found out about this earlier.
