FAFSA summer school

Hello all,

So this summer I am going to take classes at the local community college, specifically Pasadena City College. I would like to know if I have to redo my FAFSA to receive financial aid for the summer? I already submitted my FAFSA for the 08-09 school year though. Thanks all.

Financial aid is specifically for the school-year; submit your FAFSA information to PCC and apply for their FinAid.

Thanks, thats all I needed to know. Emm saves the day again.

Oh yeah, I had the same question. So, just a clarification, (sorry if I'm being repetitive) do I just go to the FAFSA site and make a correction under the school section (basically, adding the college I want to attend during the summer)? It won't affect my regular school year aid right? Thanks!

Can someone please answer the question above me? I am in this same situation now. I’ll be attending an university this fall but want to get an early start at my local community college. Thanks.

what about studying abroad through EAP? since youre still a ucla student

To answer the question yes. You add the school to your fafsa, but I think you add it to the 2009-2010 school year application because 2010-2011 I believe starts for the fall of 2010.
Lastly, community college is insanely cheap, 26 a unit. I don’t know what kind of financial aid you receive or seek, but if you just want your classes paid for, apply for the BOG fee waiver, which basically just asks for income of parents, etc. They waive your fees so that you don’t pay for anything, except books.
