<p>I don’t think budget cuts are affecting transfer students.</p>
<p>ok sorry for beating a dead horse but i e-mailed SDSU because they said i didn’t meet the requred non-local TRF requirements. i had no clue what TRF meant so i asked. I got this response:</p>
<p>"TRF = transfer students student</p>
<p>non-local refers to students who donot meet this criteria:
SDSU’s service area includes from institutions in San Diego County that
are located south of State Route 56 and extending eastward AND Imperial Valley
County."</p>
<p>and now i’m more confused than ever.</p>
<p>They give priority to students within their region.</p>
<p>Giberish, Giberish, haluoo…</p>
<p>Hey i want to go to UCLA with a psych major what is the average GPA of getting in there if i want to transfer there</p>
<p>the average gpa of those who applied to psych last cycle was 3.36, and the average accepted gpa was 3.67.</p>

<p>Applying to: UCB, UCLA, UCSD, UCSB, UCI, UCD, UCSC
From: OCC/IVC
Major: Philosophy (alternate: History)
GPA: 3.82 (UC-transferrable)
IGETC/Pre-reqs: 1 course left to go on IGETC, still working on pre-reqs this semester because I chose my major relatively recently.
Misc.: Pretty much finished the Honors Program at my school but not TAP or TAG certified yet.
ECs: Honestly, not much going on here: taught English overseas, Phi Theta Kappa and Phi Alpha Mu member (just joined it last semester so I don’t know if it’ll count) and worked on the side an average of 20 hours week</p>
<p>Chances? (particularly UCB and UCLA)</p>
<p>Beardy–you sound fun, haha.</p>
<p>Anyway, I applied to UCLA and UCB. My stats: 4.0 with 83 credits. By the end of this school year, I’ll have a little over 90 credits. Math major. My downfall is that I’m out of state, and I hear that Berkeley rarely accepts out of state applicants. I’m from Bellevue Community College in WA.</p>
<p>So I applied in Nov. Here is what I have:</p>
<p>Applied to UCSD
Transfer from San Diego City College
GPA: 3.05
Political Science Major
I have a signed TAG Agreement for winter 09, taking my math and critical thinking reuirememts this semester. What are my chances for fall?
My gpa was low in the beginning because I was working and going to school full time. Now I am focused on strictly school and raised my gpa because I had 4.0 last semester and probably 3.8 this semester.
I was also active duty military but was honorably discharged 10 years ago. Does it matter if my active duty was that far back?
Thanks.</p>
