Fall 2011 Admission Decisions

Woww!! SMALL world!..River Dr over here! - Ok we both have to get accepted now! lol!

Garfield in the house haha!

Garfield!!! woop woop! …lol…Isn’t that something? what is the probability that two people from the same city, same ward, apply for the same fall admission, and are on the same forum in college conf… It’s Bananas!! I say!..LOL

I see it as a good sign

I think if you guys get accepted and not live in NYC. I usually just park in China Town to hit two birds with one stone;have an opportunity to eat good cheap asian food, and then take the subway via 1 train from Franklin St. to Columbia. Its far, but finding a parking space there during the weekday is much easier and it will take less than 20 minutes to stop at Columbia once on the train.

Brohlij, yes indeed…it is a good sign
How cool would that be if we both get accepted? watch out NYC…Jersey’s on the way!
@ Random…thanks for the tip, I’ll definitely keep that in mind. I have yet to learn my way around all the subways. My friend that works in NYC takes the train to the apple everyday, I will be going along and taking some extra trips just to learn the subway routes.
It’s Almost 12noon - who will get the lucky call?? Hopefully someone in this forum …knock on wood (knock , knock) ;)

I don’t want to worry about driving…I will just walk to the train and go

[mta.info | Subway Map](http://www.mta.info/nyct/maps/submap.htm) <-----subway map  But with all that driving in and out of NYC and taking trains… lol I might as well look for a place to live in NYC since it is going to cost me 13k a year to travel there since there are no trains near me. Theres a bus, but its going to cost almost 40 bucks a day to get home, not including subways! But I am getting ahead of myself, lol.

Niceeee!Thanks Random!

so then i assuming most of you are planning on off-campus housing?

@ Liz,
I am most definitely planning off campus, plus, even if I did apply for housing, there would be a great probability (>90%) that I would get denied since I am less than an hour away. Priority is given to those who live the farthest.

It’s going to cost you between $10 and $15 thousand to move into a non-Columbia apartment. Keep that in mind.

@ liz, I applied to on-campus housing. Since I live right outside the city, I am fairly certain that I will have to plan on an off-campus residence since the limited space offered at Columbia is for out-of-state students. I have already been in talks with alot of the off campus student housing in Manhattan, although the housing is much more posh, and with nice views, it is ridiculously expensive. It is about twenty-thousand for the one-bedroom I like, and thats cheap in Manhattan. But hey, with a roommate, I am sure I can cut it down to half :D

Hey @random I’ll go halfsies on twenty-thousand. 10k is chump change! lol.

Really? Only one applicant who posts/reads/skims the GS forum has been accepted so far?

What @random was told (“…1-2 week delay before they start reviewing apps b/c of out of state seminars, etc…”) must be the culprit. What’s so weird is that I’m usually an extremely, extremely patient person. But I mean, come on. Right? Come on!

So I just got a package from fed ex…

Aaaaaaaaand…???

Brohlijik without a call?

Broh, is it from Columbia ??!!!

Actually it was the tittle for my vehicle that I just finished paying off :p

I know I suck lol
