You should see the size of the brick I laid when I saw the envelope

How Dare you >:-o !!
You had us all in suspense and ready to cheer for you:(
Bad Garfield-er…BAD…lol!

PS. NO I dont want to see the brick you laid…ewww

When I saw it I got more happy than a hungry baby at a topless bar!

I know I’m sorry. Still pretty funny. Just keep in mind that the joke will be on me if I dont get accepted lol

Btw…*evil laugh

Hahahahaha @brohli & @invic!!! I thought the acceptance floodgates had been opened, but only @brohli’s floodgates…nvm.

The wait continues.

Sweet just got an email from hell. It says… Dear Brohlijk we are happy to inform you that you have been accepted you to HEll. Your insensitive humor has been proven worthy of a full ride to our institution. To include full room and board.

Epic autrocity! The analogy of open floodgates & Broh’s .…. will now forever be in my mind as an affinity of the two…ohh how grotesque!!!
James you shall be confined to the dungeons of this forum!..
Lol!

Despicable me :p

I wonder what the people that apply to spring 2012are going to think about this thread

They gonna say… Damn Brohlijk is one sick individual.

I wonder how many people has applied to GS

The PO France guys are quiet too. But atleast many got in, on this side of the tracks noone yet has gotten ant responses. Agh! Whats the deal?! I bet they are reading this post and they are doing it on purpose lol

Ok…Let’s flip 180…on a HAPPY note…there are 3 hours left, LET’ S BE POSITIVE…and maybe and hopefully one of us will get that lucky call!
Who will it be: Random, James, Brohlijk, Baxter, Invictus ? hmmmm …oh the suspense!.. (suspenseful score plays in background*)

They’ll see how a bunch of people who are used to staying active, busy, and productive steadily ran out of ways to kill time as they waited. (that’s my positive spin on it anyway!)

As @invic said, back to being “serious.” So I wonder how many applications they have reviewed after @greathal’s successful application. Have the apps after that just not cut it? How long until they hit another succesful app? Hopefully one of ours. If one adcom decides “rejected,” does another adcom have to review it (a la second chance)? I guess we can only speculate & will most likely never know. I know that every school has their own admissions process, but GS’ must be even more unique. As it should be.

They will see that we suffer from AAD (acceptance anxiety disorder) – Typical symptoms include incessant need to check mail/email, voicemail, and fedx deliveries. Temporary brain deterioration and cognitive reasoning, as well as a relentless need to express one’s feelings to a group of total strangers with symptoms of anxious deliriousness. There have been reports of additional side effects not previously associated with typical symptoms. Remedy includes one dosage of a CU communication confirming acceptance, leading to the stabilization of the amygdala. AAD occurs once in a lifetime, usually when pending a decision from one’s dream university.

.….then again…just kidding:) …where is the fun if we cannot make the best out of our every day ordeals .
I keep pretty active, regardless of my postings, (I am at work until 4pm EST), then go to school at night. I walk from dept to dept and back with paperwork, so I find time to post here from my ph in the interim…
We really care about our acceptance and that is why we are here chatting with those who share the same sentiments…Future GS’ers should see that:)

@ James…We also have to take into consideration the number of applicants actively participating in college talk to that of the pool of total applicants, which I believe to be minimal. When did Greathal applied? Was it in Feb22nd or earlier? If that is the date then it’s taken 8 weeks for him to receive a response. We also have to take into consideration how many more applicants applied before you, there could have been a surge in submissions right before you or anyone of us applied, especially since the date was close to the March deadline, and b/c most people tend to apply later in February. As far as the # of total applicants, I surmise it to be in the high hundreds, if not thousands. Let’s just hope that our applications stand out and is way better than the 5 they read before & after …Let’s just hope…:)

As soon as I sumbmitted my Application, I was contacted by a woman from the Office of Admissions, by email, telling me that they had received everything.
Did any of you get this email too? Have any of you tried asking him/her about when are admission decisions coming out? I sent my application more than 6 weeks ago…

@ Cuny…Nope, when I submitted my application I did not get a call I had to log online and make sure all my docs were submitted by the EA deadline. If you applied near the end of Feb or March 1st, I recommend you prepare to wait till the end of April, unless it is an intl app which is reviewed externally (per website) and the lead times are unknown to me, since I’m not too cognizant of that process. I’ve already come to terms that I will probably get an answer by April 20 or later (3rd or 4th week of the month).
I will wait till June if it means I’ll get accepted, but then again, I rather receive the sweet news and succumb to overwhelming elation…How beautiful the thought (…still thinking*) O:-)
