Fall 2011 Admission Decisions

Really Baxter? Awesome!!! 3 down few more to go…share the details, go on! We can’t wait to hear about it!

Congrats to Baxter…he has now crossed over to the Ivy League pastures of CU…we are proud of you!

See, there is hope! The calls are coming! Another candle has been lit amongst this darkness!!

Oh…30 minutes left! What is the chance that another one of us will get a call?? Am I asking for too much? I think not!..:D

Congrads Baxter! Champion!

Yayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayay!

So exciting!

Stats - Age:25
High school gpa - ~3.5
What I did inbetween now and then:
I worked the gubernatorial campaign for McGreevy in high school, when I graduated I worked several odd jobs; Cooking, bartender, bodyguard. I then decided to go to culinary school at the French Culinary Institute in NYC. After graduating I worked at Craft, Frog and the Peach and Grounds for Sculpture. I then decided it wasn’t for me and found a new job, at a drug discovery company of all places. While there I met some interesting people and decided I was definitely going to go back to school. In the mean time when that ended, I worked at a company that turned cadaver and porcine skin into skin grafts. While working there I went to Kean University and held a 3.8 for 2 semesters, but had to leave due to family issues. Then I worked at a environmental testing company.

Current school: Ocean County College
GPA- 4.0
Major - Econ/Math

I also went back and got a recommendation from every college professor I have ever taken a class with.

wow your background reads like a character from a carl hiaasen novel!

definitely the most exciting stats i’ve seen all week. you are gunna kill it!

Ditto what Liz said!

I wonder if they only call one person per weekday. Maybe 2 at the most. It would add up I think.

Well James at that rate, by the time they reach all applicants, Liz, Baxter and Greathal will be graduated :p

(I knew it sounded dumb when I said it! lol) but going off of @MCs guess of an admitted class of around 120 (EA & RD) and having until the end of July to do it, I would think that 2 people per day being accepted would make sense. Maybe 3 or 4 because it’s for Fall.

Yes, Baxter!

I like to think they accepted you sooner because you joined the Facebook group.

Better late than never I suppose!

@greathal If that is the case I owe you lol

I joined the FB too! Hopefully I’m next!..lol!!

Hopefully next week will be the week when the rest of you join Hal, Liz and I!!!

Congrats Baxter  Did you send a picture?

Yeah, it was of me in Florence on a hill overlooking the city

Oh and if you were wondering my Financial Aid thing doesn’t work yet, so I am pretty sure that isn’t a viable way of checking your status

And they are sending my acceptance package sometime next week

@Bax…did they give you a new CUID# or are you requested to use the same one you used to submit the app?

you use the same old one

p.s.

can i just tell y’all how much this list makes me drool?
