Fall 2011 Admission Decisions

Did anyone hear back? It’s looking like the pro France kids (not sure what that is) heard back today.

The po applicants always hear back first

How so? Isn’t the Po a spank new program?

Baxter, the is the inaugural cycle for Po.

I too am waiting on a GS letter but only came across College Confidential about a month ago. Whatever the outcome, positive or negative, I want to say thanks to the GS forum contributors, and particularly to the currently enrolled GS students. I’ve read a lot of helpful, quality opinions about GS and it has made the waiting period much more pleasant.

Hah. After posting I realized that in 3 sentences I managed to use the term “GS” 4 times. Nice.

My anxiety was doing fine until last night when I got a call from an unknown number that hung up immediately after I answered. After my head cleared I determined that it probably wasn’t them calling me at 630, but for that few minutes it really was bad

@ Baxter :
In my case Baxter is worst since a pesky bill collector from Citi financial keeps calling me from an unknown number like 5-7 times a day. I usually just ignore the call but now I’m forced to answer, the worst part is that is not my debt lmao

This was the first unavailable number thats called me in years…debt collectors can be fun especially since you have to answer every time now

I know as if the waiting game with Columbia wasn’t fun enough lol

Let’s see if they call someone today… Last year they were already calling people on April 1st…
Oh guys, by the way, it doesn’t matter if you pick up the phone, a lot of people missed or never recieved a phone call, they just got a package from Columbia delivered by Fedex…
It would have been a nice surprise right? :D

Maybe the notifications got pushed back from what seemed like the regular date because of the po applicants

i like your thought process. let’s stick with that.

Good luck to you guys :)

I took the GSAE back on Feb 26th and they finally posted it to my status screen. Hopefully that means they were looking at my app.

Wow Baxter, over a month before it was posted as “taken?” It does seem like they are looking/looked at your app. Sounds like you should be hearing something soon. Hopefully my app (GSAE a whole month after yours) isn’t too far down the stack! I probably won’t hear anything for at least another week or so.

Well I hope they sent out the decision then or will make it Monday. If I was crazy I would call FedEx, but I’m not at that point yet

Being the night owl , I find myself taking a weary look at my app and finding that the GSAE status has been updated to “Official Final.”

Seems like both my apps for Columbia and Cornell are in sync with one another since everything has been updated to Official/Final on both ends. However, conveniently enough, Cornell explicitly states that the committee is reviewing your application.

When did you take the GSAE Random?

If they stick with the 4-6 week window we should have a decision by the 12th, so probably sometime next week or at the latest the beginning of the following week.
