Hahaha. For sure Philly! Hit up Genos for me! Double-whiz-with. (you can tell I’m a tourist).

I hope also, yet my morale is wavering :(

@ Philly… Im originally From Torrance, Ca also, lol. Been in New York for four years already. I can still remember driving on the 405, the 91 , the 10, the 22, and the 5 and 605 , man I miss the freeways lol.

James: Based on the activity I’ve seen here, I think the admissions committee is just now (in the past week or so) starting to review apps. Since they just called Jupiter for an interview, I don’t think you should consider yourself rejected! I know I say this from “the other side” but keep your head up. I feel like you will be hearing great news before the weekend, especially based on the info provided in the forum.

Thanks Juniper! As you can see by the time, I can’t sleep. I usually only sleep 4-5 hours per night, but I’ve been absolutely restless for the past few weeks.

It’s a new day for everyone else to hear some good news. Good luck to all!!!

Forums have been quiet lately…I hope everyone has not given up

Im still here, just relaxing behind the scenes. Trying to make the most of my spring break by applying for summer jobs.

I don’t know if I’ve necessarily given up hope, but I called the admissions office asking a few questions and she didn’t sound too enthusiastic when she pulled up my profile – although she didn’t sound too enthusiastic at all from the beginning

If I dont hear anything today or tomorrow I am definitely assuming a rejection and I will be moving on.

Tomorrow I think will be a good day for them making calls…finishing out the week before the RD start having complete apps

On a side not, anyone know where to find cheap Columbia apparel. I don’t really want to pay 75 for a hoodie

Yeah, I’m with Random… I am just sitting backstage,
Actually, it’s more like sitting in court, waiting for the final deliberation from Judge GS.

Yeah. I’m not feeling like it’s over yet, but it does seem like it’s gone through the various stages starting with acceptances, now interviews, and as each day passes with no word, (dare I say it?) rejections. Makes enough sense. Then again, I’m staying extremely positive because I don’t see any of the remaining candidates as being rejected. I can speculate all I want, but I wonder how they go through the apps. Best guess: Date completed? GS has its unique reason to its admission rhyme. Until there’s a Columbia envelope in my mailbox, I’ll maintain composure and hope.

Does anyone have the link for last years thread for fall 2010? For some reason I am having a difficult time searching for it.

I’m with you Random. If I don’t hear anything by the weekend. Im gonna start weighing my options between Plans B & C. I’ve had well over a month to prepare for a letdown. No harm in being realistic along with being so positive and confident.

Random,

I definitely wouldnt assume rejection if you don’t hear anything by tomorrow, Maybe though by next Thursday… There’s still a lot of time.

There’s only like, 10-15 of us on this board. According to the admission statistics I saw on another forum, they admit like 2,000 GS students a year – so their pretty busy

(doing this on my phone, so I hope it works) Here’s the link for EA Fall 2010: [Early Decision Admissions - Page 9 - College Confidential](http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?goto=newpost&%20t=882259)

It’s hard to compare the timelines because of the addition of The Science Po program and the 1-2 week delay mentioned by Kari Razdow (to Random earlier in this thread).

James, can you elaborate?

I hope your right, Phillyman. But for the sake of my sanity I am just going to assume the worst and move on. I dont want to destroy my GPA while thinking about GS these last couple weeks of classes. If I receive a phone call, this forum will definitely be hearing from me. Until then, I am probably going to look at cheap safety schools, possibly even starting a business with all the money I was planning to spend on GS tuition anyway.

Sure. Elaborate on?

Well, heaving been to the GS office a couple times during visits and taking the GSAE, I dont want to risk *ing the admission staff off since I know there are a couple of "che bags that work there, having personally seen a couple prospective students practically get yelled at for asking generic questions was an eye opener.
