Fall 2011 Admission Decisions

@Pino i was accepted to Berkeley and UCLA, havent heard back from USC, was denied by NYU but accepted by Columbia GS. its such a crap shoot ; )

see you at UCLA this fall! (or this summer if you will be at summer session too!)

@Random you TOTALLY have this!!! so excited to finally see your “im in!” post!

I wouldnt get too excited about that, I am on the home stretch, but not quite there yet! Thanks for being optimistic though.

Wow, I cant believe you didnt get into NYU. I heard it was pretty easy to go there.

If I get in, I am probably one of the few that had to wait since February for a decision late June.

nyu sucks anyways i decided. they said i was too non-traditional. well poo on them. berkeley gave me a full ride so i cant be THAT undesirable! d-bags!

I’m right with you Random on the late aspect

Well Berkeley is one up from UCLA and is considered Stanford’s closest peer in Cali besides Cal Tech. I find it funny that a lot of the Stanford professors are graduates of Berkeley. If you do well, a top 5 graduate education is in the playing cards for you.

I cant believe NYU said you were too non-traditional, when the whole style of their campus is non-traditional. PLus NYU is an overpriced crappy school (excluding stern & Law ).

I can log in to financial aid… I wasn’t able to log in before, it used to say invalid etc., but that changed yesterday… Does that mean that I’m accepted…? I read on this forum that people who were able to log in into financial aid, got accepted… What do you guys think?

Yeees, I got in!!

Good luck to those who are still waiting!!

Congrats Katie.

Holy crap katie good stuff!! What is your major by the way?

CONGRATS!!! yayayayay way to go!

@ Random i agree whole heartedly about NYU’s sub-par-ness. ha.

and you’d better get admitted soon! i am on the edge of my seat ; )

I hope I get admitted too! So tired of waiting, but I will know soon enough roughly by next week! I’m Excited and scared at the same time, lol.

I was actually accepted to pretty much every school I applied, but I am waiting on GS. I basically said this at the interview. LOL.

Thank you!!!
I’m so excited!! My major is financial economics… I’ve been waiting since march, too… Finally I got an answer :D

Great! I hope to bump into you in one of your classes come fall.

Congrads Katie! If I get the same opportunity, I think we’ll be majoring in the same thing so hopefully get to see you in some classes this fall!

Financial Economics majors at Columbia. Ouch! Have fun in the library for the next 2 years.

But seriously, welcome to the Columbia family.

Financial Economics is that tough eh?

I mean, it’s a lot of tough math classes to go along with challenging Econ classes and The Core.

It’s one of the tougher majors at CU. On the other hand, as a history major, I have to write a lot of papers. As a result, some of my math-orientated Econ friends think that my experience is challenging.

Would love to see some more physics, math, chemistry, or biology majors. lol
