Thanks for letting us know, egytn725! I’m actually relieved. That means we haven’t missed anything yet. :)

You guys made the wait a bit less agonizing.

Guys, you have to have 4-year English requirements in order to get accepted even though you are immigrants.
For immigrants, one-year literature in your native language (in your country) or 1-year ESL in the US can be counted toward the 4-year English requirements. The other 3 years have to be regular English classes in your high school or CC.

2 more days until the 15th . . . gud luck everyone . . .my friends received rejection in e-mails. So I guess if they don’t accept u, they will send e-mail instead of mail. I hope theres nothing in my inbox this week

no problem =]
i think regardless of rejection or acceptance you will recieve a letter…im pretty sure ive read that on the uw site. ugh tell me about it two more days and god only knows how long its going to take to get down here to TX. good luck to you guys !

oh hey also, have any of your transcripts loaded?
nothing on my end :S

From what I read, up to two years can be replaced with literature course in the student’s own language, and up to two years can be replaced with english courses taken in a non-english speaking country.

nhhn018 ,

when did ur friends got their rejection letters? what was their majors

thanks

Well the 15th is better then looking in the mail everyday lol but im so nervous about getting a letter…and yes i check twice a day to see if my transcripts are loaded…in stae app

all of my friends who receive acceptance and rejection letters are business majors. some ppl who major in engineer, pharmacy, biology are still waiting

I’m a business major and I haven’t received either. Which is good, I guess. Better than getting a rejection.

If I got admitted, I think they’d admit me as undeclared because I haven’t met the course requirements for the business program. So I guess I’m not technically a business major yet. That’s probably why I haven’t received anything.

1 more day until the first batch!

So does one college eng course (ie eng 101) count as 1 year of eng?

Errrr. First batch tomorrow… My final exam is also tomorrow!!It makes me cannot concentrate on study!

if they send the letters out tomorrow , it should take us 3-5 days to receive the letters too. So maybe the best time to check ur mail is next week.

VanAnh, my friend got rejected because she didnt have 3-year regular English. She’s an immigrant and had a HS diploma in her own country.

At what point in time should our unofficial transcripts load to tell if we get accepted? I check two times a day and it comes up as cannot be displayed. And does the myuw message change after your own letter is mailed out to inform you its on the way?

wow, ive been worrying for the past 5 months with no one to relate to…im a student in New York and im awaiting a letter from UW. so are all the letters being sent out today?? or is there possibly another round of letters that some of us need to wait for?

Normally they send them out in batches. :-/

I’m hoping that the first batch is a majority of them. Who knows, though.

how do you guys know they will send out the first batch today? Every time I try to ask them, they just kept telling me the same BS again and again. When I try to ask in what order they send out their decisions. Their answers are always:…ugh…no orders.

Yeah right, no orders. That is how a “university” deal with their admission.
