Congrats to those who go in!
@jannnn When you sent your application in has nothing to do with your acceptance. I sent in my application about an hour before the due date and I got my acceptance on June 11th.

Where do I look for my unofficial transcript? My application status message has been the same… for a LONG TIME… I wonder if I’m looking in the wrong place? MyUW Main Page, Check your application information?

Just delurking to say congrats everyone!

I just went back to CC, but I hope to be in your boat in a couple of years.

Mine unofficial transcript was uploaded this afternoon . but I didn’t see any page changes though. is that mean i m in?

@hwyhwyhwy yes, you are in. Until you pay your new student fee, there isn’t any real changes to your page.

I wouldn’t be happier even though I am not sure if I would go to UW. I have just applied as pre engineering major and I may not wanna risk of being denied by the department. (UCSD bioE:bioinformatics vs UW pre engineering) But I seriously love UW because it’s just so beautiful.

@nbr000 - im waiting for ME. Do you have any idea how long do we have to wait?

Does the international admission take longer time to review the application? I’m an international transfer student. I’ve been rejected by the foster but I’ve heard the admission would still consider the second major…which i applied as economics. And now…I still haven’t heard anything from them.

I think it’s just “luck”. I don’t think it has to do with your major, submission date, or residency status. They reply from June till July, so some of us just get to be really-late June/July.

Well I don’t think it’s luck. They sent out the first “wave” of admissions around June 11th with a due date of June 25th, then right after June 25th they seem to have sent out another wave.
I would guess they sent out first picks and waited to see who accepted, and then followed up with second picks.
Can anyone who just got accepted tell us when your new student fee is due by? I am anxiously waiting for my friend to get her letter, but she hasn’t heard anything yet D:

It’s not a rolling admission. It’s a “pooled” admission. While the admissions are sent out over a two month period, all the admissions are considered together and other acceptances have nothing to do with your acceptance. It is not a case of the later you get it, the lower your chances.

Well what I described and rolling admission are very different things. The admissions are considered together I am sure, but I’m also sure they have a prioritized list before the first letters are sent. That is the whole idea of a wait list. I don’t know for sure, but if you think about it, it wouldn’t make sense any other way. Why would they want to send letters to their best students last?

I was using the term rolling loosely. No matter though!

I do suppose that makes sense! I’m just trying to hold out hope! Always hope!

Edit: While I’m not arrogant enough to not suppose others could have much better essays/ECs than myself,I’m also just hoping my ~3.9 GPA counts for something ;)

Wow, your gpa certainly doesn’t fit my assumption! Do you have less than 90 credits or are you an engineer perhaps?

Foreign Language major. Plenty of classes geared towards
my major. Over 90 credits even if they don’t count my APs. 3-4 ECs in my college years. Even more in high school. I’d like to think a decent essay ;). Some current undergrads and alumni looked at it and said it seemed good.

My only suspicion is some of my math classes were done “outside the system” and later ‘counted in’ for high school. Not sure they’re counting those, so I think they want to see /more/ “official” math. Which I’m doing summer quarter right now and that they apparently want a progress report from sometime “Mid-July”.

Ahh, well if they want a progress report you are probably in. If you weren’t, seems to me they would just send you a rejection letter.

I’m hoping that logic holds.

Thanks.
No unofficial yet, though. :(

Does the school send out rejection letters in “waves” too?
