Fall 2013 Decisions Thread

I guess we’ll see how that FA package goes… It’s really my only hope. I know I’ll get something but I don’t know if it will be enough.

I did get into Barrett, which was my backup plan…
I even started looking at other schools with bowling teams but they just don’t compare.

Many many moons ago I was deferred with a 3.43, a 2000 and decent ECs. Ohh well… Georgia State wants to give me a scholarship annnnd a spot in their honors college, so that’s cool Tulane. ;P

Elkiresses - probably many more moons ago than you are talking about I worked with a guy that graduated from Georgia State. He has had a very successful career. Best of luck there. Personally I love Atlanta, I did some grad work and taught at Ga. Tech for a few years.

Bowler, I have been doing some research on financial aid and EFC (expected family contribution). You may find this link usefull : [2012-2013 EFC Quick Reference](http://www.stratagee.com/resources/efc_quick_reference/1213_efc_quick_reference.html).
You know that we are all rooting for you to go to Tulane Bowler. I really hope that it works out for you…

Thank you all very much. The coach said she already has 2 4-year (even though I thought they were only guaranteed for 1 year) scholarships in place and so can only provide partial scholarships (even though I thought each school was allowed to give 5 full scholarships). So I guess I’m just confused as to why it is so limited. Tulane is an expensive school…

I will check out that link, Jozuko.

Yeah, hang in there Bowler! Too soon to say with any certainty, right!? I am also hoping for FA for my son and several outside scholarships before throwing in the towel! ;)

Accepted
32 ACT
4.0 GPA

Financials–congrats!!

Congrats!

I started searching for other schools with bowling teams just to keep my options open and I found that the university of Alabama at Birmingham has a fairly new team and it looks like a more affordable option for me. Tulane is sill my first choice but I wanted to look elsewhere just in case

That is smart, Bowler. Obviously really hoping Tulane works out, but you have to have options.

Yeah I just wish I thought about it sooner… Ah well. Good luck to everyone and hopefully Tulane works out for those who want to go!

Well, if Tulane doesn’t want me that is their loss!! I am proud if my r

No doubt.

As has been said many times, no one should take this kind of thing so personally. You should be proud of your r

Rejected. Although they made the right decision, only filled out the application because it was a freebie. My heart was not Tulane bound, glad they gave the spot to someone who wanted it more. Congratulations to all those Accepted! You deserve it!
