Just got the admitted student username + password emailed today.

Just found out from oliver17, who talked to admissions, that those usernames and passwords are generated only once a week. That is why it took a while. Glad they are coming in now.

Me too Bloomy, just got it today. fc and oliver17, thanks, good to know.

i didn’t realize it would be this barren–the only things you can do as of now is pay the deposit and look at the destination tulane dates. i was kinda hoping for more–now that im in and got my scholarship award, my life feels a bit lonely. obsessively checking the mail/gibson is all but a distant memory. just twiddling my thumbs now waiting for something new to obsess over (sigh).

Accepted!
Weighted GPA: 3.8
6 APs
UW GPA: My school doesn’t compute it…
2100/1450 SAT, 800 CR, 650 writing and math
Leadership, debate awards, decent volunteering, peer helper, Horseback Riding.

BMEPREMEDgirl-I can relate. The sad thing is I’m the mom not the one going to college. I think I need a life. ( Oh wait, I have 2 more kids to obsess over)

Hmystery1234-Congratulations!

Thanks! Now on to worrying about everywhere else…

Sigh…

If you guys have been accepted but the money (merit, grants, etc too little) then perharps try the outside scholarship?..I know there are plenty of those but just watch out for the requirements and its deadline. This CC (College Confidential) also provides info for those things.

BMEPREMEDgirl - agreed - the site was anticlimactic - and Oliver17 I am in a holding pattern too…
Can someone tell me more about NOLA experience - can students move into their dorm at that time? Is it on a first-come basis?

Students do move into their dorm a week ahead of everyone else. It is not first-come first-serve, but an application and selection process. [Tulane University - Apply to NOLA](http://tulane.edu/studentaffairs/orientation/nola/apply-to-nola.cfm)

Accepted at 11/29/2012. I forgot to post my results. Actually, I often use collegeconfidential for helps of essays. But now I find much more funs with this website.

GPA: 97/100 UW
ACT:34
IELTS: 7.5
No AP, Two Subject Tests: Math 2 800 Physics 670 (I hate Physics forever since then)
Published three books. Won awards. I guess this is really the most important point they saw in my application. A writer.
Early Action. Presidential Scholarship 27,000 a year. Honor Program.
I applied to DHS and Global Scholarship as well. Guess they don’t want to give me full-tuition scholarship =.=

S3 is Tulane bound! We sent in his enrollment deposit and made housing requests tonight. I can’t believe this is my third and last child and he is all set for college next year. Happy mom, happy kid!

Bloomy…my daughter attended NOLA. As fc said, it requires an application process. Those who are selected are placed on a particular program based on their interest as identified in the application. You cannot select which program you want… There are several topic areas. My daughter was in a program called EATS. As implied, you eat your way through New Orleans. She loved it. She had an opportunity to try things and eat at places she might not otherwise experienced. Most importantly, she met a group of people that she developed friendships with. This read a great transition. I would highly recommend having your kid apply. Plus they get to move in early.

mnszcdmn - No idea what the “Global Scholarship” is, but the DHS decisions don’t come out until late February.

Congrats on the rest.

I am guessing he means the Altman program possibly?

Maybe, or he is applying for a scholarship with that name somewhere else and got confused.
