@nicolexx3 My gpa was a 3.04 with a 1800 SAT.

@TransferAppFIT I don’t think the program is full, because it wouldn’t be fair since they are not first-come first served. Do you think there are lots of applicants for Fashion Design program? Good luck !

For those who were waitlisted, is the mail a small envelope just like a rejection letter?

@artsyfartsy96 thanks for the info on illustration – congratulations to you for your acceptance to FMM and to your friend for illustration. Did he or she apply by the Priority Deadline? Thanks, again.

@artsyfartsy96 i had a feeling it was full too only because I see a handful of people being wait-listed now.

@rockvt Thank you so much! Yes, she did apply in October and her portfolio was submitted in the middle of January.

@TransferAppFIT If anything they maybe sending out the final batches tomorrow. However I do know plenty of people from my school who applied for FMM they have yet to hear anything.

@limjuliana I was unfortunately wait listed and FIT is my dream school and yes it came in a small envelope, the same envelope they use for rejections I believe.

@graphicsgirl190 I got accepted into the communications design program!

@TransferAppFIT I would be happy being waitlisted as well. Since FIT is the only school that I applied this semester, I’m gonna apply again for spring too. But I’m still sincerely hoping that we can have a chance to hear a good news next week though.

@mg1222 Really??!! Congratulations!! i am freaking out!!! if you dont mind me asking, did you have a lot of computer graphics in your portfolio or was it a lot of drawings, or both? oh and when did you hear back?

@Rollieee yeah not a lot of people apply for Spring too so we might have a better chance then if we don’t get the good news (God forbid).

@graphicsgirl190 Thank you!! I found out on March 14 and my letter was mailed on March 12! No the only computer graphics I had were my school newspaper I did and a cad drawing I did. The rest was mostly drawings. I also had a logo I designed for my school musical but that was a drawing. Other than that I just followed what they asked for and added my best pieces!

@mg1222 oh thank god! lol I only had a few computer pieces! I really hope I get in I still havent heard back Im just really hoping thats not a bad sign. ughhhhh

@mg1222 when did you find out?

Hi guys! FIT said that they have sent my decision letter late last week. However I have not get any emails yet. I saw that people who got accepted gets an email before getting their packets. So, does this mean that I am not accepted to the program and going to get the tejection letter? This wait is killing me I applied in October too, so I’m really nervous and anxious…

@bini0625 not necessarily lol most applicants always get their packets before the e-mail but don’t feel discouraged because of that lol

Okay thank you! I have another quesions, are rejection letters sent through postal mail or emails? I’ve heared some only got emails and some just got a letter

Rejections only come through the mail.

So, I asked them if my decision was already mailed, and they said: “Your letter has not been mailed yet, it should be sent out around April 1.” Do you guys think it is a bad sign since they said “letter” instead of “packet” and since they said letter will be SENT OUT around April 1? I’m so nervous I’m sensitive with each word

@limjuliana no, it doesn’t mean anything - don’t freak out! if you go through and read FIT’s responses on that forum, they always use the term “letter”.
