Fall 2014 Applicants Unite!

@Graphicsgirl190 search the school’s name under hashtags on Instagram

@transferAppFIT Oh okay thank you

To everyone who is wondering, just social media really. Someone mentioned they were able to get their decision over the phone.

@artsyfartsy96 Ok thanks! Just call the admissions office?

I applied back in November and I still have not received the mail, should I be worried?!

@limjuliana what did you apply for?

@NJIUdad Thank you for your response. It’s so nice of you. I’m still holding out hope. What school is your daughter going to? It’s good she got into her first choice

ebs1995, she’ll be attending Indiana University Bloomington this fall. She’s been talking about IU since the beginning of her Junior year and visiting the school completed the process for her. She plans to major in Apparel Merchandising, as well as, pursue a minor in either Business or Marketing from the Kelley School of Business. The Apparel Merchandising major is flexible enough to permit multiple minors, thus, there’s also some consideration for a second minor in Fashion Design. She’ll take an introductory course in Fashion Design and see if she enjoys it.

With the FIT waiting list, you never know. Contact FIT and continue to submit any additional material to show them what you’re made of. Hang in there and continue to pursue your dreams. Best of success.

@TransferAppFIT Fashion Design. Since I don’t live in the states I think I’m going to be one of the last ones to receive decisions… How about you? did you get your response already?

@limjuliana Ohhhh ok and you might get it this week I seen someone in Paris get their acceptance packet last week and no I haven’t I might be waitlisted or rejected since my major (FMM) is full.

@TransferAppFIT how do you know FMM is full?! I applied for that and I still have yet to hear an answer

@TransferAppFIT @Nicolexx3 I got waitlisted too… And I applied for FMM. I’m goin to wait… Hopefully I get in…

@Nicolexx3 because everyone who applied to FMM and just now hearing back seems to be getting wait-listed lmao I haven’t heard anyone from AMC being waitlisted though they must still have seats.

@yejikiim If I’m waitlisted I’m gonna wait too lol

@TransferAppFIT @yejikiim what was your average if you don’t mind me asking?

Does anyone know anything else about the communications design program?

@lashsummer - Sorry you were waitlisted and hope you get in.
Did you apply by the Priority Deadline date?

@Nicolexx3 transfer student with a 3.5 GPA, never took the SATs.

Are there any other Illustration applicants besides lashsummer on this thread? If so, any word, yet?

I did have a feeling that FMM was full, but it may not. Last year, someone who lives in the city received their acceptance packet from FIT the last days of March for FMM. Again, this is from what I’ve been reading on social media. However, I have been hearing lots of wait listings for FMM the past couple of days. It maybe a good idea to call admissions to get an idea of where you are on the list, or send updated transcripts.

To give everyone an idea, I was accepted for FMM with a 3.8 weighted GPA in an intense academic academy at my school. I also wrote my essay on how everything I done led me to apply at FIT, which varied from my retail work, art and academic awards, even a game I played where I ran my own boutique and designed my own clothes and displays.

Best of luck to all. @rockvt My friend applied to Illustration and was accepted. She received her packet on Thursday. There are a handful of Illustration majors in the FIT group as well.

Yes @TransferAppFIT call admissions and have your student ID number handy. Good luck!
