@syzheng2 I believe Zaza94 is a junior transfer applicant from Williams, but he did get in as a transfer last year (but opted not to go). On a different note, officially one week away from decisions!

@szyheng2 I’m also a freshman at UIUC applying to Wharton haha (but I’m an Engineering major). What other schools did you apply to?

@cali2387 Haha wow didn’t think anybody else from u of I was applying. Good luck! I applied to unc, uva, nyu stern and wharton. Already got into unc. waiting for the others now. Fingers crossed. Whartons my top choice but I’m gonna be realistic and assume a rejection

Wharton applicant here. I think my essays are strong and my reason is extremely compelling. However, my weakness is HS stuff. College ECs were great though.

Good luck on Monday…

@anuragp122195 fellow wharton applicant here. mind if i ask where you are applying from?

same here, @wantwharton @anuragp122195

So anxious… Monday’s decision cannot come soon enough

@wantwharton BU SMG

any junior wharton transfer applicants?

Hey guys! I applied to the College of Arts and Sciences. Very nervous for Monday haha Good Luck to everyone!!
:D

Did everyone just receive a second reminder email?

@wantwharton I got the email too

@wantwharton me too

Reminder of what?

Reminder that decisions are released on Monday

Does anyone think the mid-term report grades will significantly affect this application? I mean they only show an incomplete representation. B+s on the midterm report could still mean the student gets an A at the end of course.

I had one B+ in my stats class, but A’s on everything else. My stats teacher wrote “1/3 of grades completed” in the comments. I don’t think the B+ will be helpful, but I also don’t think it’ll make or break our decisions.

It all depends on your class standing. If you are a rising sophomore, yes the midterm report will matter a lot, as it will be the only available information (along with your first semester grade) of whether you thrive in the college environment or not. If you are a junior and (especially) have lots of credits from overloading, having one or two A- in mid-term report won’t matter much if your cumulative GPA is 4.0 with 70 credit hours (it will hardly bring down the GPA at all).

I’m pretty much assured a rejection considering my relatively low college GPA, but this wait is killing me nonetheless!!

Obviously only time will tell, but to those with low gpas I offer some reassurance and hope; I had a 3.54 when I applied last year and was accepted. It’s not outrageous to be accepted with a similar gpa as long as the rest of your app is good.

@zaza94 That is good to know! Thanks for sharing your experience. If you do not mind me asking, what was your reason for not going to Wharton (Sorry if I missed it early ITT)?
