Eh, I mean they’re sort of losing money. They could be like most places and not allow you split at all

I am withdrawing my UT undergrad application. I applied for 2nd bachelors as I was not originally a CS major when I did my undergrad.

Attending UW Madison grad school. Rejected by UT Austin from CS grad program. They are very competitive at the grad school level. Guess I could always come to Austin later for Ph.D, if I want to.

Good luck to you all.

???

WannaMovetoTokyo I am sorry to hear about UT, but UW-Madison is a fabulous school too! I got accepted there out of high school for pre-med, unfortunately I was OOS state and I couldn’t afford it and didn’t want to take out so many loans. The campus is beautiful though!

Thank you for sharing with us and good luck to you up there at Madison!

Hey everyone, just got my acceptance to Cockrell! Thanks for everyone that’s contributed and to @DeeGeeErbear for starting the thread! For anyone that’s interested, here are the stats I posted if you want a reference against your own. Hook’em!

- Current GPA: 4.0 (in Phi Theta Kappa)
- Probable total GPA after Spring Semester (in May): 4.0
- First Choice Major/College: Civil Engineering
- Second Choice Major/College: Undeclared/Undergraduate Studies (just so I can increase my chances of just getting in overall to UT)
- Courses completed: 31 total hours so far

English 1 (1301) 3 hours

I have 13 more course hours on the way from the upcoming spring term and 3 hours of AP credit my last school didn’t have a course equivalency for. So 16 more hours of transferable credit. My upcoming classes are

Texas Government (2306) 3 hours
Music Appreciation (1306) 3 hours
My AP credit of for human geography for 3 hours
Hopefully a full 47 hours when spring is done
7)Extracurricular Activities/Recommendations/Essays: I had a lot going on in high school-football team captain, all-district player, academic all-state,Duke TIP, Vanderbilt PAVE, I founded a Secular student alliance chapter, i did a few dozens community service hours, i have a 33 ACT and 1900 SAT, and I was AP Scholar with honor/I’m hoping to get three from my last three teachers (Calculus 3, National government, and english 1)/I did all three essays and I’d honestly say they’re 9/10 or 10/10. Really proud of them. - Maybe I can appeal to the cultural demographic as well, since I’m an atheist and a dirty liberal living in Texas. I’m also part Cherokee and am in the process of getting my Nation membership. I doubt any of that really matters, but you never know.

still in review… aarghhh… now I am more agitated than ever. :-w

Congratulations!
were you guys summer or fall applicant?

Rio9419 I was a fall applicant.

Anyone hear back from COLA yet? I am still in review and on my absolute last leg of patience! I submitted my app early January and it has been a loooooonnnnnnnng wait, ugh.

Do UT only looks at your transfer GPA? or other factors matter too.

I am an international student. I applied transfer to Cockrell end of the January. My status shows “your profile is in reviewing” for a week. I am really nervous. My current college is Stonybrook university, and my Gpa is 3.63. I did not do so well on no-major classes. However i got almost all A or A- on physics and calculus classes. My question is do they look you current school’s academic ranking or just regard all schools as same.
