Thanks DeeGeeErbear and UTfanatic1234 for the replies. Hoping we all hear from admissions ASAP!!! Good luck to all of you!

I applied to CNS for CS.

I completed 54 credits, 3.59 cum. Currently taking 11 credits. Will get a 4.0 this semester but I know it won’t do me any good for this Fall application.

Completed Programming Fundamentals 1&2, Calc 1,2,3, Phys 1, Chem 1. Got a B in Calc 3 and Phys 1, A’s in the rest. Currently taking Phys 2, Gen Chem 2.

Currently Active Duty Military. 4 LORs (2 from work, 2 from my current college).

thoughts? I know 3.59 is below the 3.6 average but someone’s gotta be below 3.6 right?

@PrideFC You have four Letters of Reprimand?? Not really something you wanna put on an application! :P

@RyanAntony LOL I’m surprised you know what a Letter of Reprimand even is.

I was told by the counselors that deal with military vets that I can expect decisions around the 15th of April.

Five years Active Duty, currently a Reservist, USAF. I’m hoping our military service gives us a bump. I saw that UT Austin is USNews #2 for veteran-friendly schools.

I’m at 3.5 years, USAF, stationed at Lackland. I know TAMU bent over backwards for me since I was a vet and I’m hoping it helps out at UT’s admission process.

The resume I sent to UT looked good though since I copied a bunch of stuff straight off my EPR.

Glad to hear that UT is a Vet friendly school! Hopefully they won’t take months processing my Hazelwood paper work! My dad was in the Navy for about 8 years, so thank you all for your service!

Eww… Lackland!! Lol. Well good luck brother. I hope we both get in!

You guys are lucky you get your acceptance so early.

Hi everyone, Today I got the offer from UIUC, and it makes me feel happy. However i am still waiting for the offer from UT. I have a question- Compare to the UT and UIUC, which one is the better choice?

UT!! Duh

@DeeGeeErbear I heard about that UIUC has a large population of international student, but I don’t know the UT’s situation. Does UT has a large population of International students?

I just got my acceptance from Georgia Tech!! Still waiting on UIUC and UT At least I got one, definitely takes the pressure off.

well, some ChemE have been accepted. I can’t wait any longer :((

Question for those that have been accepted–have your received emails/snail mail or did you just check the app status site?

@alexeibas from what i understand, they just checked mystatus. UT does not notify by email, and snail mail is sent after the mystatus page is updated

Still in review I CANT TAKE THIS ANYMORE :((

This date last year, loads of people were posting their acceptances! I have to believe that everyone has just abandoned the thread and that they are handing out decisions right now and I just don’t know it! Even if I was still pending in review, it would make me feel better to see some acceptances or denials and know that they were at least working on getting the decisions posted.

still in review…

I just got off the phone with admissions and I was told that I should have my decision around the middle of May… what is life 8-|
