Fall 2016 Transfer Thread / Chance Me!

Last year the first decisions were towards the end of April, but the year before the first decisions came out around April 10th. I seriously hope they’re not implying that they won’t be released until May/June this year

I sent a very polite email asking if they had any information other than “before June 15th.” And they literally replied, “before June 15th.” My eyes rolled to the back of my head.

If y’all are stressing about a June 1st deposit deadline, the one for Hofstra is May 1st, INCLUDING a housing deposit. I’m going to be furious if I lose $500+ just because NU took their sweet time. (Patience is not my strong suit.)

@aimingforthesky Im literally in the same boat as you, i was accepted into BU and I’m waiting for my NU decision before i make my $650 down payment to BU :(((

has anyone heard yet??

@ocrowley Nope…

i think definitely by the end of next week or the following we will hear back

@bostonbabexo3 I was hoping that we would hear THIS week. I can have hope, I guess…

@Giraffing definitely by April 29th, I have high hopes! lol

Where is my decision… :frowning:

a friend of mine from hs transferred to NU Last year and didn’t get her decision until May 15 :frowning:

@ocrowley You’ve GOT to be kidding me. Not like I need to find housing or anything

^ exactly my issue

@ocrowley Were they able to find housing easily?

Okay for real waiting this long is REDICULOUS!! I love NEU so so much, but I can’t help but feel like they really don’t care about transfer students. Tulane notified me back in March, I don’t know what would take Northeastern so long, my enrollment deposits are due soon

@gracetheodore I would call the admissions office, but I’ve lost my voice

Looks like I’ll be commuting should I get in lol

I really don’t think it’s Northeastern not caring about their students…I also applied to BC and Notre Dame, and will not be hearing back until May and June from them. Once you start to apply to higher scale schools I think they put more into their acceptance process

^I agree. I believe I read somewhere that applications go through two groups of people or something. Not sure how accurate that is, but since selectivity is higher, they probably look at your application more (essay, ECs etc).

So, on the NYU thread, somebody commented that they received a rejection from NEU three days ago… so i guess that they’re releasing admissions decisions already

@frenchie2729 Like a letter in the mail?
